I see a lot of people being like “eh” “why is it so hyped?” And saying that the gameplay doesn’t look as engaging as they originally thought it would be. Imo I’m quite exited to play the game, it looks like quite a tactical game, timing and ability management is very important and I’m hyped to play this, it looks great. Shh different development teams are used to make, create and balance each respective game, so I wouldn’t assume that just because another title of their’s is unbalanced that this one will be too. Game balancing is hard, there’s so many things you have to take into account and little tweaks and changes can make the biggest difference. This game looks more dependent on individual mechanical skill with the extra element of abilities which are mostly line of sight blocking, nothing like Roadhog’s hook or 1.0 Mercy Rez. In the end the game hasn’t even released yet, so they still have time to gather data from the beta.

Every hero has some kind of ....wall or barrier/smoke. Its kinda odd and Im not sure how all of the visual effects will be when in combat. Might be really distracting, but who knows, that may be the point.

At least I do think they've got the visuals of the abilities down and I kind of like the way the maps look so far. The idea is that they're all mostly limited and unlike a game like overwatch people will be way more conservative in using them so I don't think you'll see an overstimulating amount of them at once. Maybe early on but as you get better the cool down management will be used more selectively.

@@Trillonice sounds like you haven't played anything but overwatch (fyi played since alpha, probably way before you've even heard of ow) overwatch has so little counterplay and all it ends up being is rock paper scissors, and who presses q the most wins. TTK in overwatch is super sloww and the gunplay is super casual, meaning that knowing exactly where a mccree is gonna peek doesnt really matter to a soldier because you dont die instantly. Valorant requires precise aim, because one taps are achievable with most weapons, and therefore knowing exact positions and using sound cues are vital to success. Take off your kiddie wheels and open your eyes

@@TheH1st0ry Well the devs did say that they wanted to incorporate more of the "Precision, aim, skill and splitsecond decision making with strategies and map control" that CSGO has, rather than the "flashy abilities lot's of stuff going on on the screen, heroic" type of gameplay. OW and Paladins use a lot more of flashy gameplay to cater to a wider range of people while Valorant is going to be really not fun for people who don't want to invest the proper time to become decent at the game

when talking about jet at 2:13 he said you can use the tailwind to get across the boxes. technically this is correct but you can save your tailwind because using your passive floating ability you can simply jump across easily and save your ability.👌

Ok... the game looks "ok." My issue is what does this game gonna bring that someone doesn't already find in cs:go, overwatch, or Apex Legends? This just looks like it'll be the red headed stepchild.

It’s all still in Alpha. I really like the art style and the maps, and the gunplay looks clean. I think it has potential, it’s just a pity I’m an Xbox player :(

Graphics doesn't make a game. Look at CS:GO and League, two of the biggest Esports. VALORANT is made for Esports, and smooth game play along with simple environments to spot enemies is key

It's only natural for em not to look that good. The game is in it's early stages. Maybe after a while it will get a visual update or somethin. But it's probably just the art style of the game so who knows

With the omen smokes you can line it up anywhere on the map during buy time and just throw it the second the round starts, you don't need to wait for the round to start to line it up and waste time that you could be using to push up and take more map control

That orbital strike could be hella OP if you have a friend playing Cypher by your side, he uses the camera and when he activates, you peek on his screen and use it to mark the location.
