The thing is. I believe these golds have low mental but when they are being recorded at the same time as they try to show of makes them play different. Usally they blame tms other wise they wouldn't be in this video. The plats however think that gold players are trash and didn't concentrate at the start. That's why the score was offset at the start. When the golds started to trashtalk which was a mistake by their part, the plats took this challenge serious and the golds needed to show that they still are better. That's when the real game started.

Most people are not Gold plat. Riot released the rank distribution data some time back and the most common rank was Silver 1. with like ~21% of player base being silver then Bronze being close second.

Radiants and Immo have a wide difference. And based from experience, diamond is also different from ascendant, altho not as wide as rad-immo. Plat to dia is a big jump tho, which is what i consider the first big jump in skill. Plat below is just close, meaning iron is close to bronze, bronze is close to silver, and so on. Altho silver and gold have the most smurfing, which us why ppl can get hardstuck.

Real stuff here, based on my past experiences, plat and dia is a big jump. Not because of the skill level, but because who you are facing, in the past when I was diamond, my opponents were mostly ascendants and some immortals, it was hard to even compete, I started at the bottom, worked my way up to middle of the pack, and then to top fragging most matches, ALL in diamond/ascendant just to rank up . That's why if silver to plat is the low rank slump, diamond is the mid rank slump, some people just couldn't rank up.

this was an interesting watch for me as I finished EP7 Act 3 in plat, got placed silver 3 in EP8 Act 1, climbed up to Gold 3 very quickly and now it's episode 8 act 3 and im Gold 1, i was even back in silver for a bit I def was struggling for a bit but recently I've been doing better, feeling like im improving again but still trying to climb back. consistently dropping match and team mvps, aim is feeling a lot better and overall playing better for the most part Curious if I'm still able to play with plats/diamonds or not even though Im currently Gold 1 Had a game the other day with a couple PEAK plats, a few diamond peaks, and one guy was ascendant at one point Didnt do bad in that game but def could've done better Just hoping I can climb back up a bit more before another hard reset lmao

It's because silver to plat is too random, sometimes they are at the same level, but once you get to high diamond against ascendant and immortal, it's on a different level of gameplay. That's why some people are stuck in those low ranks for a long time, their improvement feel negligible as there are wide range of different skill level in the same ranks.

i have got about 600hours of competitive match and most people in between 500-1000hours of compe match are usually plats.....and through my experience the only thing that deny most plats from reaching higher ranks are FAST MONITORS(and to some extend fast pc to drive the frame higher)....like me and some people i know who are in plats for about 3 or more episode plaiyng in 60/75Hz just can't fucking compete when the enemies have like twice or more information than us(144hz higher)....how do we suppose to win a duel? let alone the match

​@@majorekkorek954 It's easy to criticize someones gameplay over a video, you aren't in the moment making those decisions under pressure so you get to make clearer and better decisions. Put up a vod of you and them side by side and tell yourself if you really believe you're better. Compare your aim as well, ttk, accuracy, movement, they are a huge part in ranks like gold. Though don't get me wrong, high gold, plat, low diamond basically the same rank, maybe you haven't put enough time into ranking up since valo is a grindy and inconsistent game, unless ur smurfing don't expect to rank up instantly, and even when you smurf it still takes a good few games to rank up a lot of ranks. Think about stuff like what angles you hold, are you exposed to people as they peek main? If so you will get shot instantly as they enter site, consider holding an off angle, preferably one where someone would be turned away clearing another common angle. Do you peek with your teammates flashes, smokes, hell even make fucking sure your teammates smokes are where they are supposed to be on minimap because when i just grind autopilot i keep running into site expecting smokes to be there and they aren't, or they have 2 gaps in one chokepoint, not really my fault that the smokes are shit but I could save my life if I realize the smokes are shit before its too late.
