They are balanced to the teeth. This means rule-sets are set in place to create fair gameplay for everyone involved. Sometimes we do this "dynamically". For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

Since ranked is messed up right now due to the reset, I think it would be fitting to include in the titles that the people who play are either "current [rank]" or "peak [rank]." This would also help explain why a diamond was a previous act immo and possible rank dissparages. It gets harder to enjoy an "upset" if the rank doing the upsetting was a couple ranks higher already or whatever.

people think 300rr isnt alot but in my exp every jump from rank has a crazy skill difference , golds are 3x as good as silvers on avg and plats are 3-4x better than golds and so on and so forth , anyone can hit a crazy shot, consistency is the difference

Valorant rank sistem is kinda broken (at least here in brazil), i got classified as iron 1 and got up to iron 3, after a while i decided to challenge my diamond friend and i won by 3 rounds (i'm sova main but i was using gekko and he is neon main) he told me i deserve at least gold 1 and when i told him i was iron 3 he just didn't believed

I think you should honestly do ranks in a score based on their current+peek. Like every rank is worth +1 point (iron - 1, bronze - 2, silver - 3, etc) + add their peek. So gold rn, dia peek = 4+6=10 and there'd be room for a +/- 1 or 2 points space.

So ascendant peek, diamond right now equals 7(peek) + 6(current) = 13 points. Give it a threshold of +/- 1/2 points. I explained it perfectly, you were too dumb to understand.
