It's probably a height thing. I don't know. For me, I always hated the feeling in your stomach on the drops, but recently I forced myself to go to my local park and ride everything...and I had a blast. Honestly if more people forced themselves to ride they could get over their fear.

On diamondback I did it because the guy behind me said it was the tallest one, and it scared me, so I did not want to look down, then after we were falling, it was way more intense than I thought it would be! I honestly just walked by it, and thought I would try this roller coaster, and see what it is like, not really k owing or remembering what it was supposed to be like!

I went to Cedar Point for the first time in my life this past Monday. Valravn was the second ride at Cedar Point I rode right after Raptor. Thankfully we didn't have to wait hardly for both rides. Once I got on Valravn not knowing what to expect, I got terrified when I started going up to the point of going down the steep drop into the first loop. Thankfully after that I was fine but felt an adrenaline rush for a while after riding it!

I'll start off saying I'm a coaster person. This coaster is good, but it's not that impressive. I'm used to Magic Mountain's coasters so this would be nothing for me. Right now there are 3 things that scare me on coasters. 1. Flying coasters. That view is freaky. When you look down and all you see is air and the ground far below (not your feet or anything) it's a little freaky. 2. The new kinds of harnesses that coaster makers are using. The ones that restrain your waist and your shins/ankles, but have NO shoulder piece. So your upper body is totally free. Full Throttle at MM has them. I'm not quite used to those yet. 3. Pretzel loops. When the train does a loop by going down instead of up (look at Tatsu, a flying coaster, at MM). That feels a little weird. I live in California and have never actually been out to Cedar Point, but someday I'm going to plan a trip out there. And because I absolutely hate it when marketing tries to blind people, I'll let people know this: Yes Valravn is the tallest, fastest, etc dive coaster. But exactly how many other DIVE coasters are out there right now? Not very many. So it's fairly easy to have the tallest and fastest one. Sorry marketing. People are no longer blinded.

Maverick is EASILY the best roller coaster at Cedar Point, possibly in the whole world. Valravn is fun, but there are plenty of other Dive Coasters similar to it; in fact, I don't even think Valravn is the best Dive Coaster out there.
