I have 5 of the 7 Bibles listed. LXX is something I am wondering if I should get it. Concerning the "Readers" Greek New Testament. How can I find answers from N.T. Greek scholars? ( All the ones I respect-- A.T. Robertson, Stern, Williams, Wuest, and Young--are no longer alive.) Years ago, I once e-mail Green and asked him a few questions about translation and a few verses. His reply was VERY prideful and insulting!!!!!

That is a good question. It is hard to know sometimes where to go with questions about Hebrew and Greek. Works by the authors you mentioned are helpful places to look. It can be meaningful to converse with an expert directly but that is not always possible. I have tried to find people locally who are passionate about biblical languages and with whom I can study and discuss questions. We often end up looking at a variety of resources like the ones I highlight in my videos. Biblical software programs and websites can also be helpful tools. If you ever want to share an idea or question with a fellow biblical languages enthusiast like me, I would welcome that too, though I am not an expert like the authors you mentioned.

There's an edition of the Septuagint [ISBN# 0-310-20430-5] originally published in 1851 and credited to Sir Lancelot C.L. Brenton, which also includes an English translation of the Greek text, comprising 1,130 pages of the Old Testament and 248 pages covering the Apocrypha, some 1,378 pages in total. Back in 1987, before such resources came to be available on the Internet, I got a copy of this LXX from my Mom, I having taken Greek language courses in College around that time. So, if you're an English-speaking student and you want an edition of the LXX, "THE SEPTUAGINT WITH APOCRYPHA: GREEK AND ENGLISH" is the better one to get. There's also a 4-volume NIV INTERLINEAR OLD TESTAMENT (Hebrew & English) edition available, which I bought on my own around the same time I took a course on Biblical Hebrew in College, before that 1-volume interlinear Hebrew + Greek + English volume shown in this video was on my radar (which I then subsequently bought). One might also be interested in acquiring a BIBLIA SACRA VULGATA -- the Latin translation by Jerome, which became the Bible used predominantly in the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, my edition doesn't include an English translation of the Latin text, which would've been nice, but, hey, you can't have everything.

Thank you for suggesting the Greek and English Septuagint with Brenton’s translation and the Latin Vulgate! Both are great recommendations. I also like the multi-volume interlinear set that you mentioned. Its font size is more comfortable on the eyes than the one volume edition.
