I am Italian and I don't understand the difference in the word enterprise and firm value someone can help me?

in firm value you only add debt to the market cap and in enterprise value you add debt and substract cash to the market cap, at least thats how i understood it

Firm value = value of operating and non operating assets...enterprise value = value of operating assets.

I dont believe enterprise value is ever a good metric to use
