You justify using Bottom up beta because of "Law of large numbers" and the implicit statistical error in the regression but the same statistical error persist in bottom up beta as well. And if you want to stick to law of large number then why have a beta in the first place?? In that case why not just use beta=1 i.e., use the ERP of the market index itself instead of [beta * ERP] in the CAPM equation.

Hi sir, is there anything that I can try out to check the beta ? As I don't have access to bloomberg terminal, is there a way I can get that ?

shouldn't we forecast cash flows out until the company is mature? then we can put the terminal rate on it that is close to GDP, which is suitable for a mature company? also, shouldn't a company, with good management, always be able to beat the GDP, seeing a company has many advantages for earning better than the growth of the economy--GDP, which calculates good and bad without bias?
