One of the best producers/directors of the 80s and the 90s was, John Huges! To the younger crowd, he produced movies like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science, Home Alone, Uncle Buck, Career Opportunities, Some Kind of Wonderful, etc. All of John Hugh's movies were so nostalgic to us! A lot, if not most movies that we watched in the '80s and ‘90s dealt with real-life situations, and a lot of us stayed in the theater just to watch the movie again. John Hughes was credited for writing some of the most memorable movies. Much love to all the key latch kids!

I even see it taking over my industry (western performance horse industry) Taylor Sheridan swooped in with big Hollywood investors, monopolized our industry and way of life, brought his celebrity buddies and has completely ruined what was a sport and lifestyle done out of pure passion. It’s turned into a rich man’s sport. Now the top trainers only care about signing movie/tv deals, brand deals, having the wealthiest/celebrity clients, lining their pockets and pushing out the little guys that built this industry out of their love for the western horse. Even Bella Hadid swooped in and is dating a major cutting trainer and it’s now in Vogue and I quote “Bella Hadid is to the sport of cutting what Taylor Swift is to the NFL”. Which is complete bullshiiiittttt. But it’s the orchestrated imagine Hollywood is pushing us to accept. There are so many phenomenal riders out there that have sacrificed everything to make it in our industry and are being overlooked because they don’t fit the imagine they are going for.

Me too! I got so sick of the lack of artistry and the carnality of the recent films so I started searching KZbin for movies from 20's, 30's etc to see if the content has truly changed and OMG it has changed for the worse🤦♀Jamaica Inn (1939) w/ Charles Laughton was the first old classic I ever watched and man was it good. I'm also binging on the old Sherlock Holmes classics from that era and the thin man series...

The good movies were made by Jews and Christians, believers, who had an understanding of the "story" of God's creation. This is why they knew people and knew good stories. The godless in Hellwood can't compete.

I was a movie hound in the 80s and 90s. Also did my rounds at Blockbuster picking rando stuff based upon liner notes on the VHS boxes or if a certain actor I liked was in it. Any flick I liked became immortalized in a closet by purchasing it when it went on sale at any retail store or the local rental shop discounted them to create more shelf space for the new stock. In essence, might have 150+ VHS tapes in all and yes, there were times I thought about throwing them all out given the newer technology. But.... my VCR still functions and given todays crap being shoved down our throats, I now treasure that old school VHS collection.

You can really tell that movies have went downhill over the years. Many of them seem like they're generated with AI and CGI with regurgitated, cookie cutter plots and story lines that are so boring and pointless. The consumer is craving SUBSTANCE, meaning, purpose and "the moral of the story" now more than ever

I love and admire Stephen Baldwin-his authenticity and his love for art inspire me. He seems like such a genuine, good person, and I wish him all the best. I appreciate him for his honesty and openness, and for being a true sign of contradiction in Hollywood. It’s something we deeply need to help bring about its purification and holiness. Thank you, Stephen Baldwin, for being a light in a place that could use more of it.
