Vidoe shows the wear on the valve body separator plate from the check balls. This plate would need to be replaced.

This wear does not make a noise. It allows fluid to escape past the ball into other circuits. It could cause premature failure or shifting problems. I would not try to flatten it out unless you are really cheap! The wear is seldom a perfectly round "crater" where it can be flattened back. It is often more displaced to one side or worn away altogether. No amount of pounding will make an oval seat round. Beside its a cheap part to risk having to do it all over again.

NOPE ! That plate can easily be reused & I have in fact used plates that looked far worse than that without any problem . But I know how & that is the difference between a parts changer & an actual mechanic . 1 way is the way " Fast Nasty " suggested which works just fine they other way , I'll keep to my self .

Ooooo! Drilling it out round and using a larger checkball. Top secret! Don't worry, I won't tell.

They also have sep. plate repair kits that you drill 1/4 in. and install a hardened seat that will last near forever. I use them in 4l60e all the time and using in a 4l80 plate to fix two holes today. Have had no problems with them. But, you're right about the flattening fix, just don't work.
