Deadlock looks interesting, but my issue with this game is its “live service”. VALVE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A LIVE SERVICE. Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike 2 are massive proof of that. I don’t entrust in them to make a multiplayer game now.

yeah they do the microtransaction part of it decently but the service part of live service is always non existent. People want frequent updates, new content, balance patches, communication. Valve has always been horrible at all of those. I for one don't want another game with the same abysmal support cs2 is getting

there is no links to join the play test you have to ask somebody who is already in the play test to friend you on Steam and they will send you an invite there are many discords that will help you do that

I got to play early it’s not a dick move it’s playing it correct he didn’t sign an NDA which means he’s not legally binding idk how you can’t understand that and act on emotions calling him a kindergartener. Unless they signed an nda this is fair game imo. This is just valve asking nicely. You're free to do whatever, valve is free to never work with you again. I see no problem with this, he never agreed to anything, he never signed anything. If you want something to stay private, you invite only trusted people and have them sign ndas. If you don't do that, you should expect things to come out about it. Also just a side note, I don't think this game is gonna work out. Valve does not do live service well, they never have. I hope it's good, but I think we're gonna get the microtransaction side heavily focused on, while the service part is non existent

I have not been this disappointed by a thing in long time. For days I heard people to repeatedly say "Valve's overwatch" and I fucking loved overwatch when it first came and existed, later on not so much. I also still love TF2, the most clear inspiration well for Overwatch. So now I get an invite from my friend to get to play this valve's Overwatch killer, nay, murderer, an orbital nuke to Overwatch if what people say is true. As long as what people are repeating is true. Because this game would not just be third person DOTA with every reason why people are not playing DOTA 2 instead of LoL shining through it. If ONLY It does not end up being a weird rehash of MOBA game everyone knows and actively chooses to not play instead of a hero shooter everyone says it will be.

that was just your expectations without knowing how the game was mate, I never liked MOBAs, and I do like overwatch from day one, and I've been having a blast playing deadlock.. for me, it simplifies some boring MOBAs aspects and focuses more on the heroes vs heroes combat with some PVE and builds strats in between

I get your point however its a giant oversight that the game lets you play without accepting. Every game that updates their eula makes you accept the new one to keep playing or the act of playing itself means you accept the eula. This is a Valve L and I fully support it. I love Valve and everything they do however People acting like this is the worst thing in the world is cringe. This game is super early in development and has 20k active players. Its getting so much good publicity that its bordering on everything being purposeful. Moral of the story tho is dont white knight for any companies no matter how much you like them.
