Funny story. I found this five or six years ago and used to listen to these instrumentals all the time. That Omegah Red Doom is For the Children album of instrumentals, certain songs always on loop. A few months ago I was in the Midwest for my buddy Josh’s wedding. And on a Friday or Saturday night a couple of us went bar hopping and ended up at this bar cade. It was cool, but kinda too Midwesty you know ? So my friends were boring me a bit so I did a lap around the upstairs part of the bar, and this guy pulls me aside and says we need to play ski ball cause they need a 3rd person. So we play ski ball lol. And there’s probably five or six of them so we’re all getting in on it a bit. Either the dude had a tattoo or he mentioned something hip hop so we started getting into it a bit and he mentioned he’s a producer. He looked about my age and he said his name’s Omegah Red. I called cap and so he showed me his Spotify numbers and everything. I opened up my Apple Music and he saw his album there. it was a cool feeling cause you can tell most people don’t recognize his name so to be around someone who could discuss his work with him must’ve been a great feeling. Not sure how we ended up meeting both of us out of state in a random ass bar but it was pretty cool and we got to talk about a lot of music. He said he made books of war when he was 15 if I remember correctly. Good dude.

The regime attempted to essentially erase Cambodian culture and music records were destroyed en masse. Viktum was a dick about hiding the source but I am glad this song lives on (and its still an amazing sample. For anyone curious about the image, it's from a manga called "Lone Wolf and Cub". It's an older manga from the 1970s and was written by Kazuo Koike and drawn by Goseki Kojima. It's one of the greatest manga ever produced and is hauntingly beautiful, incredibly violent, and I cannot recommend it enough.
