I have a different opinion on this. Alberta's market is relatively flat/balanced compared to provinces like ON and BC. If you are a homeowner looking to upgrade, you can consider waiting but it is a different story if you are renting. Please keep in mind that regardless of how high the current interest rate is, renting is equivalent to paying 100% interest (still depends on how much the property you wanted to buy). Buying a home, your mortgage could be 40-80% higher than what you pay when you rent but you are building equity and not helping someone else pay for their mortgage. You buy when you are ready.

maganda rin i consider yung hindi brand new house kasi for the same price you get more space and maybe better location... the trade off of course is it is not as nice looking... some older houses also are better built, but may need some reno.. really depends on your preference which one to buy. BTW, is there a big difference of price in edmonton vs calgary?

True, ms rebecca.. kung may makita lng kami na malaking lot and old house., thats still be ok. Kaso wla pa medyo pasok sa budget, malalaki lot tlg so far at mahal ang price , lagpas lagpas sa budget nakikita namin.😃 Kind of investment ang plan.. still a lot of juggling ideas in mind. Marami pa po kmi gusto tignan, wala pa final..hehe
