Just a quick tip as someone who is decent at singing, do some vocal warmups before you start your recording seshs. While the strain won't disappear, in tandem with water/throat lozenges, it can be a real help with preventing vocal strain. Love the consistent uploads but not if its hurting our boy.

I'm 7 months late replying to this, but just an fyi, throat losenges are sone of the worst possible things you can do for vocal strain. They numb your throat which makes you feel better but because your throat is numb you do further damage. Over time using throat losenges for vocal strain will DESTROY your voice. There's plenty of research on this so don't take my word for it.

In Hindu, I’m pretty sure all the “a’s” at the end of the gods names are silent. So it’s actually “Sheev” or “Shiv” depending on the region. But the English Shee-Va is totally fine and Ravana says “lord Sheeva” so I’d go with that.

Two corrections. One: You're confusing a religion with a language. Hindu refers to the religion. While the gods and mythology of the religion are mostly the same, their devotees speak many languages; Marathi, Gujrati, Oriya, Bengali and Hindi being just a few. Two: The pronounciations of names differs slightly depending on what language you're using. So as such, there is no rule saying that you shouldn't pronounce the a's. Ravana can be pronounced as written in Sanskrit but it's pronounced as Ravan in Hindi or Bengali. Anyone who asks why they should believe me, should look at my username. Have fun pronouncing it :) .

You can't sell tiers of relics, but if you hit the blue back button, it'll reset your items to how they were when you entered fountain, so as long as you don't step out you should be able to undo

Native Bengali and Hindi speaker here. The god is pronounced in multiple ways depending on which language you use. Anybody who gets triggered by the way you pronounce should seek help. And Mast can say whichever version he wants because it's not like he's butchering it. If you wanna get technical then Shiva is spelled शिवा (" Shiva ") in Hindi and শিব ( " Shib " ) in Bengali. Do with that knowledge what you will.

For the voice: -Drink tea with honey in the morning. -Suck on a throat pastille before a recording session. -Steam your voice as well by boiling water on the stove and inhaling it for no less than 5 minutes a day. -Try to cover one ear with the headset and leave the other uncovered. This helps you hear yourself better and prevents unnecessary/unintentional strain when talking. -Vocal cords are a muscle, so it is wise to strengthen them by doing vocal exercises. This would help prevent early fatigue. -Adapt a healthier talking placement. This could be hard or not appealing but keep it in mind.

The name is Sanskrit is शिव (Shiva). After the “Sh” is a short “i” sound like the words Sit, Bit, Fit, and Nit. As for the “va” at the end, it is the case that all Hindi consonants written include the letter A or the “uh” sound after it. However this “uh” vowel is not usually pronounced when at the end of a word. Think of these other names: Rama (Pronounced Ram) राम Ganesha (Pronounced Ganesh) गणेश This factor leads me to believe Shiva should be pronounced as “Shiv” with a short i. A.k.a not Sheeva

Mast this is coming from a Hindu. From when I was in India, we usually pronounced every god without the ‘a’ at the end so like ‘Ganesh’ or ‘Ram’ ‘Vaman’ etc. And everyone I know pronounced Shiva as shiv with the ‘i’ sound not sheev, however I have heard that there are other parts of India that pronounce him the other way so I don’t think there’s a right way. It just feels nicer for me to say it with the ‘i’ sound because usually I would call him shiv-ji as a suffix of respect and that flows better than the ‘ee’ sound
