This is a bad test as the AI does not know how to use the unit. If you're the fastest, you should always get the first strike, but these vampires fly into striking distance and put themselves at a disadvantage.

Well guess what, vampires are not fastest and will go second against any creature except naga.

@@procerusgigas Vampire lords had the speed advantage against many here and chose not to take advantage of it. Vampire lords have speed 9 along with Champion, Warunicorn, Dread Knight and magic elemental. Naga Queen 8, Cyclops King 8, Wyvern Monarch at 11 and Elfret Sultan at 13. So with proper use, it should have gone a lot better than shown here.

@@sevret313 Vs champion and war unicorn it is a coin toss who goes first, any could have gone first, and in this case I think no matter who went, VL don't stand a chance, both champions and war unicorns have too much hp. The rest of them VL won or lost pretty clear. Dread knight and magic elemental are out of question, too obvious who wins. My only surprise is how well they went vs efreets.

Vampire Lords actually win against unicorns too, if they only manage to hit first. And put quite a fight against champions. And since they have the same speed as most of upgraded 6th tier, it's actually doable.
