The word is particularly used to mock Neapolitans Poe Ratcho: pronounced like "Poraccio" in italian, a slang way to call someone "poor" in a demeaning way. Particularly used in Rome, but not only Gennaro, Antonio, Pasqualina Belpaese: "Belpaese" is either a trash cheese or the way italy is sometimes called in marketing and tourism "Il Bel Paese". All names are almost stereotypically picked from Naples and surroundings (unless "Pasqualina" is a reference the genoese savoury pie, but I doubt it Porta Ladonna: Litterally "Bring the woman (with you)", probably a punny way to censor "Porca Madonna", a commonly used blasphemy Arca Ladonna: I think this is the same "censoring" as Porta Ladonna Mortaccio: "Mortacci tua" is the most common insult used in Rome, litterally means "your despicable deceased parents" Imelda Belpaese: Imelda is just a granma name, not sure if there is any deeper meaning here Dommario: A mispelling of "Don Mario", meaning "priest Mario". Krochi Freeto: An englicisation of "Crocifisso", or crucifix. Stretching it, "Freeto" is also an englicisation of "Fritto", or fried, while "Krochi" pronounced using italian fonetics (Croki) can be "Crocchè", a typical fried Southern Italy snack similar to "croquette" in France Tiragisú: It's Tiramisù, with a 8-years-old joke attached to it. Tiramisù litterally means "Pull me up" in italian, but changing the ending to make funny other puns is a quite common elementary school joke. Something I just discovered about Scorej-oni that makes it even more Free-run. Give it the Muramasa and the health drain from it also triggers the lightning bolts so they fire even when enemies aren't hitting you. Just make sure you have a healing weapon to offset the health drain (I prefer Festive Winds as even its unevolved Silver Wind heals).

the potential builds this simple game offers is mind blowing to me. i love experimenting with new "builds" in games and seeing the contrast in mechanics. vamp surv. does an exceptional job scratching my specific weird gaming itch. one of the best value-per-dollar game ive ever had the pleasure of buying thrice.

Boon Morrabio is very good. Just from the basic projectile speed upgrade that you're almost assured to have maxed by the time you get him, you can get into shooting forwards, at which point a bunch of weapons, including thousand edge, just turn into safe space generation, and while Thousand Edge isn't fantastic, it's one of the most effective free early game items to start with, that isn't USELESS later on, letting you build entirely for lategame, since that alone can carry you for 12-15 minutes, easy. Shred bosses, stockpile treasures, ect. Incidentally, if you pick the arcana that pulls items to you every 2 minutes, you can grab the items that start the conditions for him, and the guy will just walk over to you. I know that arcana kinda breaks a few of the scroll conditions easy, in general.

Growth is not what allows you to get max level. It's what makes you get it earlier, potentially in time for more annoying waves.

Nice Tier list; I actually like Miang the most as she starts with the ability to heal without evolving any weapons or rolling the otherwise rather uncommon Silver Wind; it's also neat how she gradually grows in HP if you keep her health full and let the silver wind overheal (Muramasa and Soul Eater also steal hearts which add to this). I laughed when you described the piano key sequence to unlock Avatar as I IMMEDIATELY thought of the Silent Hill 1 piano puzzle and sure enough, the key sequence is the same. You can union Cosmo's hidden birds but you still need to get Peachone to level 8 (it won't work with Ebony Wings) and have the "I - Gemini" Arcana.

I’ve like just started playing and i had quite a difficult time, Couldn’t get passed 10 minutes. But then i got Gennaro, and it felt like everything just clicked. I got evolved knife, insane runetracers, nutty axes. His +1 projectile is insane for noobies like me.

He's definitely really good for starting to get unlocks. Amount is so strong, even if he gets overshadowed later by other characters.

I don't know if the atlantians also being pulled by mad groove is a new thing, but if it wasnt then it is important to note that mad groove will immediately kill Peppino. I have gotten a full peppino run before though, it was very fun

I'd have to hard disagree with Boon Morrabbio, so long as you level some of the passive buffs in the menu you fix the backwards projectile issue and then the run is free.

Ultimately I think you're right, I'd put him a little higher. Mainly just because you have to go out of your way to fix his issues, and thousand edge isn't the best weapon out there without certain arcana was my reasoning

Toastie is a old Mortal Kombat reference, in MK3 whenever you'd land an uppercut there was a chance for an easter egg to happen where a guy would pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen and say "Toasty" :p

This also happened in MK2 as well, wich makes the easter egg even better. Because there was a secret character you could fight by pressing especific buttons when the guy yelled "toastie". I think the secret character was Noob Saibot.

As an Arca main and the one I beat the game with. Yes fire wand isn’t ideal but his character passives I think are great. Might+Cooldown+Hellfire is a pretty great combo. Also paired with things like Phieraggi and Vandalier is gg ez

I think personally great weapons make the run, but there are definitely some can't miss passives. If you get some evos they can solo to 30.

I was thinking about perhaps pushing him up a little, mostly because playing poe makes your first like 7 minutes free. Ultimately I decided it's generally easier to win with other scaling characters though.

Poe's main weapon is definitely a trap, but taking advantage of his early game can give you a huge boost. Also even if it does like no damage, Garlic's knockback boost synergizes really well with many weapons (magic wand especially)
