concetta doesn't have a hidden knockback passive, what you described was just the effect of the 7th arcana: sarabande of healing, which doubles the healing you receive and damages nearby enemies for the amount you're healed everytime you get health back, knocking them back in the process. The reason why it was constantly active is simply because you likely leveled up health regen in the power ups menu, regenerating a tiny amount of health, and thus knocking back nearby enemies despite doing barely any damage, every second

I wouldn't say that Poppea is the best character, but she is definitely one of the really good ones, especially early on. Song of Mana is pretty much like Garlic, except it's stronger, goes further and can be evolved to slow down enemies while increasing it's horizontal reach like ridiculous. The early levels of Song of Mana are usually worse as it's not permanently around, but around level 3-5 (depending on upgrades) it becomes permanent. With more Duration it even hits enemies multiple times. The moment Song of Mana came out it was my Garlic replacement

And ignoring them pugnula garlic is almost never an option because early game(at least for me) os never a problem for farming exp. And it's Evo is kinda meh it's the same with books. TBF I don't think any weapon os bad. Any weapon cam be good. I just Don't think garlic is THAT good

@@MythicAce218 Gatti Amari is good because each cat can level up for your whole run by eating Floor Chicken, and it does incredible damage in an area that scales incredibly well (in a duration that scales well, too). Every single stat bonus that can affect a weapon affects Gatti Amari, but you want to focus hard on Candelabrador and Spellbinder first because they can eat floor chicken for crit and damage, and get your Luck as high as possible (to reduce the chance they'll attack you instead). If you focus on their strengths and know how to mitigate their weaknesses, they're very good, especially limit broken.

It is a misunderstood weapon because early especially with low unlocks it seems and feels so crap. Sort of the reverse of Garlic which is very helpful for new players and feels op, but later on it is pretty terrible and I basically never take it now

Evolved Santa Water scales with projectile speed and movement speed, by the way... so picking up bracer and wings allows for disgustingly high damage (especially paired with Garlic)

I think Garlic is still technically the GOAT in the game. But in min-maxed builds, the evolved santa water is actually S tier, top 3 for sure. This is due to the fact that in this game, any damage an enemy takes pauses their movement for a split second, so when you take boogaloo of illusions, max the area of the santa water so it covers literally the entire screen. It also acts as an insane slow/stagger field for bosses. (And is also so strong it just insta kills regular enemies at screen edge lol) But in general, every weapon in the game is pretty viable at limit break anyway. There are an INSANE amount of op builds in this game. I watch a YTer named Dex, who does crazy limit break builds. Gets to level 1000+ using singular weapons and basically break the game visually with the amount of stats he is able to put on weapons haha.

A correction: Poe is actually garbage he gives pickup radius not weapon aoe for lower hp and garlic is already a common enough weapon that you can find it 90% of the time without difficulty. In fact Porta is actually better for garlic because she actually has bigger weapon aoe.

This is honestly one of my favourite games. I've not only fully completed the achievements in the Steam edition, but I've also finished all of the in-game achievements (both the normal and secret ones), and finished all of the DLCs. I have, also, spent way too much time on the mobile version, playing the adventures so much I've finished ascending two of the four level up. It's just a really fun game! Great video by the way!

Bit of a correction, the best evolved item imo so far is the evolved version of the guns, it’s a laser attack that hits multiple directions while spinning, you do need cd reduction and duration increase to make the lasers permanent instead of pulsing but it doesn’t take a lot, the evolved form deals so much damage for the AOE it covers, and you can improve the dps slightly with projectile speed since it makes the lasers turn faster

The "best" ones ard evolved laurel and clock lancet, they're specifically meant to be grim reaper killers. There's a list on /r/vampiresurvivors if you want to delve in to the objectively best ones, ranked by dps/area/ ease of acquisition etc. But the actual best ones are of course the ones that fit you best and are most fun, screw the meta 😊 One of my favourites in single weapon runs is the humble whip. Pairing it with every passive that boosts area plus boogaloo of illusions gives you something amazing. After boosting area for a while, one strand of the whip grows do big it fills most of the screen hitting everything as soon as it spawns. The strobe light of death.

original comment felt weirdly braggy so I'm changing it since I didn't like it, but I wanted to say something about the start of this, it's near impossible to beat right as you begin unless you've practiced hardcore for it. not certain if it's been done but as far as I'm aware, near impossible. also the reason the second map is considered easier is because you basically get a free extra passive of whatever the hell you want because you no longer need to pick the empty tome which is the BEST upgrade and almost universally useful and you get a free stone mask without having to choose them with level up stuff. and not certain if this was changed, but there is/was a second condition to evolve weapons. you gotta be past 10 minutes in the run before any chests can evolve weapon. only thing I think had an exception was a certain map, I just can't remember which map it is. thinking about the last bit I wrote i wanna scratch it out. any uncapped character scales beyond infinity so they are best. revives suck in comparison to that lmao

You will be surprised by the DLC with Sammy the Catepillar. A character who is completely busted and will probably roast your computer or xbox if you play him for too long. Because, he starts off with the Golden Eyes, has his might reduced at the start but after it wears off. The main thing with him is that, gold becomes EXP and with Disco Gold... he becomes unkillable and will earn you, with the right weapon setup, as much gold as you like with the caveat that, the game will get laggy. Don't try it on the Switch port. As good and somewhat stable as it is, the game got so laggy that the only way I could even exit the game (yes the lag of gaining levels is that rough) is to quickly get one of the floor items and select option and escape. The DLC is also dirt cheap.

Fun fact: my 1060 TI lasts exactly TWO seconds with Limit Break Sammy and one weapon slot before slowing to less than 1 frame every 5 seconds, thanks to the fact that leveling up a weapon automatically fires it again, regardless of when it was last fired or how many projectiles are already on screen. I actually cannot play that character with limit break or my computer just straight up dies. Good times

12:10 I find Porta Ladonna to be an excellent choice for clearing this extra zone-his cooldown buff lasts for as long as he’s level one. Since you can’t level up in that zone, his lightning ring zaps almost everything well before they get close.

Birds are really easy to underestimate since it often looks like they aren’t doing much. But if you get them evolved to vandalier, they’ll typically top your damage output. In a recent run, the vandalier had 1.77 Million damage while the runner up weapon did a total of 788,000 damage when I had it for longer.

There is a dlc character Sammy, he starts with Vicious Hunger evolved Gatti Amari, that's straight broken for gold farming. He gains xp on gold pick up. So Disco of Gold for healing , Sarabande of Healing so your healing is doubled and does AOE damage, and Wicked Seasons is just stacking curse, greed, luck, and growth indefinitely or until you get bored. I've farmed billions of gold in runs...it got so bad for game performance they did an update to help with how laggy it would get.

So, for gold farming without DLC, you actually want to use inverse mode (so you can buy an arcana from the merchant) and take Wicked Season and Disco of Gold right at the beginning. Or, if you’re limiting yourself to one weapon, take Wicked Season and Silent Old Sanctuary (absolutely GIGANTIC stat buffs for every empty weapon slot, plus some rerolls for good measure), and reroll for Disco of Gold at minute 11. Wicked Season is SUPER important because it allows you to level up crazy high with the +1% growth every 2 levels. You also get +1% greed AND +1% luck every 2 levels as well. If you’re using limit break, the added curse is literally just more enemies to farm and doesn’t hurt you in any way. Once you have enough gold to pump a couple thousand golden eggs into a character (read: Big Trouser) at the merchant, you LITERALLY cannot die, even if you wanted to, unless you go straight over to a ring or metaglio and slam your face directly into a guardian’s chest cavity repeatedly. With endless mode, it’s entirely possible to leave the game going overnight (after reaching the point where you can say “random always” for limit break upgrades) and come back in the morning to a run that very well might still be going and a couple hundred million gold. Really good video, and you found a lot of very solid strategies on your own, which is actually pretty impressive for how simultaneously complicated and vague this game is sometimes. Literally the only issues I had with my couple hundred hours of gameplay were the fact that you got way too attached to King Bible and that you never learned the power of Wicked Season. I also watched and thoroughly enjoyed your Celeste videos. Keep up the good work! P.S. the absolute most “optimal” gold farming build for trouser involves letting the cats eat 25 chickens before evolving them, as well as taking Skull O’ Maniac and maxing Torrona’s Box and the Gold Ring and Metaglio Right to absolutely skyrocket your curse. It’s actually crazy how little curse matters to you after several hundred levels of limit break, but I also totally understand being wary of maximum curse at the beginning. Once you get a few runs in with it, though, you’ll learn that there was never really anything to fear if you maxed out the power-ups page. I recommend checking out some gold/golden egg farming guides for various characters, there are several really good ways to become an actual billionaire in this game (and yes, it does track gold past 10 million, it just doesn’t show you how much you actually have until you spend enough to be below 10 million again) and most of them only require either 11 or 21 minutes of actual gameplay (depending on whether they are 3 arcana or 4 arcana setups), and then you can just go do whatever else for several hours. This game is turbo broken in all the best ways possible

Sammy is the best gold farming unit because of how his buffs and interactions stack on each other, but if your pc isn’t an absolute beast it will spontaneously combust within seconds of starting a run (with a lot of golden eggs, at least). The core of the game is very simple, but learning the good combos and synergies to get through the hardest content without golden eggs can be pretty tricky and take a lot of experience/experimentation. If you just want to see the credits, or just want to watch funny number go brrr, then heck yeah, the game is as simple as you could want it to be. King Bible is very good early in the game, and early on most stages. The problem is that the early game isn’t where you’re concerned about your strength. Your build focus should almost always be working toward end game. A couple exceptions I can think of are the guys that start with Clock Lancet and Laurel, and the girl who starts with Pentagram. Bible (and garlic!) can be a good take on those since their early game is by far their weakest point Hope you’re enjoying the game so far! If you have any other questions I’m happy to answer them

Trouser has _infinite_ Greed scaling, so no matter what Sammy does, he'll pull ahead in Endless mode. I guess Sammy is better if you have no eggs on Trouser and need to get some quickly. But on long gold runs, Trouser blows Sammy out of the water. And then if you have the Among Us DLC, and have Scientist unlocked, she's even better than Trouser. What's better than +1% greed every level? Try +5% every level (+1% growth and 4% greed is actually more optimal, but I digress. That's still 4x what Trouser gets).

@@miguel_braulio_2250 All the standard maps only give an evo after 10+ minutes. The only exception is dairy plant which gives evo chests from the first minute.

@@totallynotpaul6211 all the standard maps gives an Evo chest from minute 10+ and, if you have a boss on minute 1 and it drops a chest it will evolve your weapon, look it up, it's even on the wiki, and if you don't trust the wiki just open the game and play

A while back I ordered some garlic and onion powder and then made a dip and ate a bag of chips, but probably used way too much of the powders, so felt like a vampire the whole night and next day. So be careful with garlic! Anyways, Vampire survivors is a great game! So simple, and thank god it's 2 D. I get nausea from most open world 3 d games. I downloaded Doom the other day, but couldn't play more than 5 minutes. Hate the look up and down movement. Ended up deleting Doom and same night discovering Vampire survivors. Other simple games I've liked are Inside, Limbo, Planet of Lana, The curse of brotherhood and the Rayman series. Do you have any tips for more simple and fun games?

3:30 well it only has a chance of happening. And only some chests can evo weapons. Look I know what im talking about, I have 100% compleation, including the DLCs. 9:10 that dameging blast is from the Arcana you start with

The comment about buying it on pc then realized it was on Xbox is only able to be experienced if you didn’t play before it came to Xbox, but when you play literally every update as it drops on the worst laptop of all time and then they release it to Xbox so now I can play it without all my frames going the second I pick up song of mana
