@@rayneybug Initially quite a bit. As more and more was revealed, not at all. The sequel lacks a goodly part of the first game's effort and indie genius, and despite good voice acting, I didn't feel much of a connection to the new characters. That said, the new Ventrue will be a carbon copy of LaCroix, mark my words as future prediction. They don't know how to write Ventrue properly, and really seem to hate the idea of nonviolent diplomacy, over mass murder, a lot.

We pretty much never learn anything about who the Sire was. My theory is that they were for some reason a thorn in Lacroix's side: perhaps they were being publicly critical of him, or impeding his ability to rule, and that for that reason he had them framed and executed. It would be Lacroix's style to give them permission to sire a Childe, destroy evidence that the agreement took place, and then send goons to caught them red-handed right after the Embrace, allowing him to publicly accuse them of treachery and having them killed off.

Playing as a malkavian was and always will be my favourite. It's purely worth it for the conversation you have the man in your tv and the argument with that stop sign.

Never played it more than once on the same install...but are you sure? i mean that character looks basic but NOT a choosable character. For example, that may be a ventrue but the ventrue you can pick only has BLACK hair.

There needs to be more games like this. The only ones close in gameplay and immersion I can think of are Deus Ex and STALKER. From what I've heard about System Shock 2 it's also similar.

@camil2003 That might have been a good call. It could take years before dev team woud put everything they wanted. You've got to draw the line somewhere. I myself don't receive the oryginal Deus Ex as unfinished in any way . It's a huge game and I hardly ever had any technical issues with it. Bloodliness on the other hand... well...

Well, it's a shame the way the game was treated - shoved out of the front door before being finished by the dev team (or that's what I've read). That's what really angers me.
