Dex mentioned how people will comment about how his actions in the shop contradict what he says is his plan (says 'need more armor' but then buys armor negative item). I have seen a lot of Brotato videos on KZbin and every content creator does this with this game, I do it too and it's not a bad thing! It is the nature of Brotato because it is a decision making game first and a build making game second. You cannot guarantee that you will get the level up bonuses or items in the shop that you need exactly when you need them. Instead you have to use what has been offered. That's part of what makes games like this so much fun! It gives the player RNG that will offer unique opportunities that they had not planned on and it gives new perspectives of the character you play in an out-of-the-box way.🤓

The greek fire is a lot better than it seems. I had one wand and that item, without any eye surgeries, and in the final boss wave it did 12k damage on its own. It was nuts.

So, XD the thing dex didnt seem to realize or forgot ( im only 15 mins into video) is that Vampire also gets 1 extra armor per 5% missing Hp ( so if he is missing 95% he would have extra 19 armor). Which makes this character actually quite survivable. I had a run with only Ghost flint that started waaaay worse than this one and it also never got better and vampire just refuses to die. Just dont get one shot and you are usually fine. Get hit, have low hp, have extra armor, damage and lifesteal, have good dodge, you heal up quickly while dodging some attacks, get hit again and then this repeats. Could easily walk through enemies most of the time. And yeah i read some comments about Greek Fire. Greek Fire seems to be another giants belt. Now im trying to find a way to force a minigun/smg build with high crit, 4 scared sausages, greek fire, giants belt and yeah many items that increase burn effect speed

I'm new to Brotato but I know if you want to pivot to shurikins that you need crit. They bounce on crit so I can say the +10% crit chance for less armour is worth it kind of. I know on my run of Danger 1, Crazy with shurikins that needing armour was my downfall.

I though wisdom was good but it would require 35 seconds to have equal damage over the whole time as your're starting damage without the debuff. I mean it would add value over 35 seconds but thats a long time.

35 seconds? I don't think so though I don't have the numbers in the video infront of me. As far as I recall, it's either 20 seconds or since a recent change 15 seconds (-20/-15% dmg and 5 gained per 5 seconds)

@@DexTag (.85×5+.9×5+.95×5+1×5+1.05×5+1.10×5+1.15×5)=35 and so if we add together every 5 seconds we get 35 seconds meaning if want average damage you get 35/35=1 so you "average" the older normal damage before you took the item at 35 seconds

@DexTag if my math is right at 50 seconds you are averaging "through the whole time " 1.075 damage meaning 7.5% more. Also I'm not looking for it to be like in the moment to equal because after 15 seconds you do get to have 1 damage but the problem is you already lost 15 seconds of lower than 1 damage so it only begins to make up for that time with low damage at 35 seconds. Then you are like even, after 35 seconds the item is actually adding value to your run.

@@Brandman88 I think you are looking a bit too deep into it - the real use of the item is when you don't have enough damage and need more, like for elites/bosses or tough enemies. Enemies spawn in waves and get added over time, while the easiest ones are in the beginning. So you decrease your damage at the time where the enemies are the easiest to have more damage when the tough enemies are around

Why is it when I try this I still have 5 blue and one white weapon by wave 15 and he has 5 blue and a purple by wave 7? 😄I love the game but the item pool has become too populated, there needs to be a fifth slot added to the shop if they are going to keep adding items.

Focusing on the weapons more might be the difference. I don't know what really happened to you and it might just being unlucky, but I receive a lot of comments on how I should bought certain items I consider okay but not worth more than weapons, so I roll more. If I would pick these items I'm told, I would have half or even less weapons just because of a lack of material. But getting completely unlucky with weapons is also a thing. Like I had games where I wanted to switch to Shurikens and found only 3 in 10 waves

I think there should be a fifth slot in the shop maybe once you complete all characters on lvl 5 or something. Steam/library tab/click brotato/workshop tab/ you have to find what you'd like there and some don't work so better install one at a time I recommend cornucopia and colored money they're cosmetic and def work the others may break with updates but the brotatonion?? Mod is huge with busted items and characters
