@@ICA_Ghost I get what you mean and can't disagree, given that you are very likely correct about nobody there knowing how to make a good new one. However, if Capcom were ever of a mind to do something new with this for whatever reason, it would be a great opportunity for them to. Make a high-quality modern true 2D game (that "hi-res" version of super turbo doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned...). As in, you're Capcom for crying out loud, 2D fighters are possibly your proudest and most iconic tradition... treat them that way, by continuing to make high0quality 2a

@@jedgrahek1426 tbh its more personal preference for me. off course i would love a new darkstalkers. sf5 is a good game but i just cant stand the looks of the newer fighting games. it all goes in the wrong direction. it feels like for every new game the character models get larger and the game seems slower overall. going all realistic is not for everybody specially in fighting games.

@@ICA_Ghost , well if there is anything that tied this game together it is the art style and animation... quite literally as they had each developer make a different fighter on their own and then threw it all together like they did when designing the original SF2. So if they are unable or unwilling to get that right they might as well not bother. For something like this we would probably be looking at something HAND DRAWN. The feel of the game, it's speed and mechanics would also have to be nailed... this is where air dashing started and is the grandfather of anime fighters; because of this it is really an in between point which allowed for not everyone to have access to all of the same tools (instant overheads, etc.). Re-balancing an existing game like this would be a nightmare; let alone trying to recreate it from the ground up while adding to it. There are a million different pieces that need to come together, including assembling an actual team who can make a fighting game like this (not a lot of teams out there can right now with the very niche knowledge of how to do it right). It also means all of this would not come cheap. Do I think it is worth all of that effort, to spend all that money, on a task that is almost impossible? Fuck yes; this is a hidden gem. XD

The commentator saying all the random stuff completely killed this. They didn't mesh well at all, since the other guy was actually trying to comment on the fight. Awful combo. But on mute, it was great watching the matches. I'm trying to get into this game, so it's great to see it getting some love.

I hated the 1 commentator. He was horrible an was paying no attention. Im sure he thinks he is so funny but it was Literally some of the worst commentary I've ever heard.

@@Daniel111404 Yeeah agreed. Trying way too hard to make jokes with a hoarse and awful sounding voice. Definitely sad to see considering this game is such fun and that there's such a wealth of info to be relayed. With Sajam, Yipes and more amazing commentators at this event, this pairing did not do great, but the brash loud one made it even worse.

Playing Lilith competitively is a huge accomplishment as she is very low tier for a reason.

Vampire Savior would have been better if the rounds were regular (ie 2nd round starts with full health full from both sides). If you lose a bat, then it's really hard to come back.

Supposedly Dyne has been excommunicated from the VSav community from what I heard, though nobody ever explained why. Dyne, Rotanibor, Mighty Mar, JaySkate, and maybe even Ailerus are kinda played out. I respect and enjoy most of their gameplay, but they've been doing it so long with the same characters that it's just nice to see newer blood more active on the scene... though it'd be nice to see the new blood have the opportunity to get their bones by toppling some of USA's great VSav OG's.

commentary is really not anything like people are making it sound. I mean yeah meth could be involved, people aren't off-base with that... I think he's fine to listen to for this kind of commentary/topic, at least... I'm just super happy to see a VS top8 with this much variety! And someone had to have followed through on banning Sasquatch, which made for a great tournament... every other VS tourney I have seen has been packed with Sasquatch players and somewhat tiresome for such a great game. And look, remove him an you have a real game with balance, meta, matchup differences, etc. Just wish BB Hood was a little more viable still.

Sasquatch is not banned from tournaments. A lot of our top Sasquatch players didn't make it/ didn't enter.
