There is thre documanted case of vampyre from Austro-Hungarian. First one is Petar Blagojevic from Kiseljevo (Serbia) at the end of 17 and beginig 18 century, second is Sava Savanovic from Zarozje (Serbia). And the third is Arnaut Pavle. I dont know from where Pavle is onley i know that he is somwhere from Central Serbia.

That Marilyn Manson/Shane MacGowan mashup is no more a vampire than me being a North Korean Muslim oenologist. No vampire would come near to a cross or crucifix, no matter its orientation, not to mention wear it. Even the cross upside down is a Christian symbol, the Cross of Saint Peter. As a Transylvanian Romanian history buff, I know quite a bit about vampire lore, and it's as different of what is portrayed in the west as can possibly be.
