The biggest plot hole and issue I have with this series is them turning superman, when the infect (I.E. the vampire infection) doesn't like sun light or UV radiation, and that is literally what powers superman, it's in his cells, he should've been immune to the change

You guys have to watch the video they posted titled “Core Member of the Batfamily is the Vampire leader” or something along those lines. But its them breaking down and summarizing 4 issues and one of them was Issue 6. Batman blew Kryptonite into his face & he was weakened to the point to where he couldnt stand. He was essentially depleted of his solar cells arguably.

He can be, he’s not a monster and he went threw some unique hell- so he’s trying, and aside he’s the only shot of even a small chance of stoping the vampires, so what other card is there to play? And I’ll also add he got turned while trying to avenge his father- so I don’t see why he would have any allegiance and especially a step-brother relationship towards dick after that.

I just keep thinking of an old story run with the JLA, where a Vampire lord tried to turn Superman into a vampire with his bite only to find he couldnt due to Superman being an alien and his blood being toxic, all he could do was keep a hypnotic mental control over the kryptonian. Also i'd have thought Dr Fate could literally clear the skys with a gesture, or generate minature suns as required, surely in such a dire situation Nabu would take full contol over whichever apparently inept host is wearing his helmet...

You raise good points. Dr. Fate actually kills some vampires using his sun-creation in this comic. If he could make sun rise indefinitely on earth just to clear out the vamps, I think that'd be too OP for the comic's plot.

@@ArborealOreo Thanks, i think its the problem i have with the story really, DC's heroes are so varied and capable that a Vampire incursion really is just tuesday if it involved all of the DCU's heroes. The situation would never have gotten so bad and so the writers have to nerf characters or make them stupid to allow the plot to work.

I like this title for the most part- The only thing that is kind of unenjoyable about this book is how so many of the heroes seemed to become evil vampires immediately after they were turned- Zatanna, Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman Superman, and others went from being good, kind hearted, moral people to vicious killers murdering innocent people and their fellow heroes with no hesitation- this personality change was also immediate making their actions even more crazy. It wouldn’t be as jarring if some people didn’t retain their old personalities and remain good (like Damien Wayne)- it’s never explained why this is the case.

It's kind of hard to properly write vampires as world conquerors in DC comics bcuz of Kryptonians. Thoz guys are, in a sense, the ultimate "kryptonite" for the vampires. Their cells absorb sunlight & they shoot heat vision, most likely composed of sunlight. They can probably solo vampire characters, unless they're sun immune.

Why would the vampires turn Superman and Power Girl? Their powers come from the sun and if it’s been blocked off they’re just regular vampires then. If Supergirl is de powered then so should they.

This series is one of my favorites year, but I don't get how Superman would keep his powers as a vampire only because we have seen his powers need to be recharged every now and again, so how is this yellow sun superhero supposed to recharge his powers as a vampire. So what eventually he will just be a normal vampire without his solar powers?

Green Lantern can stand in the sun thanks to his ring converting the Yellow light to Green. Superman's body does a similar conversion from Solar Radiation to the Electrico Magnetic field that helps hold his atoms together vs tougher strikes, and fuels his powers. Its likely the Sun would either cancel out and just keep him as powerful as he is, or he becomes a Daywalker

Ok, I like the story but I have a ton of lore issues with this series. Ignoring the bullshit that is Starfire’s blood not only giving temporary immunity to sunlight (that I am ok with) but also holy water and crosses. But the Kryptonians being turned when Star fire couldn’t and Green Lantern being Able to kill. I don’t care if he is a vampire, the ring should have shut itself off the second he tried too. Oh, and Nabu being unable to clear the skies when he is one of the strongest mages on Earth and the clouds are sooth. Series this should have not worked even remotely this well.
