The comics had their moments, but I was never too interested in the show. I like the MCU but they don't have much of my favourite characters yet aside from Spidey, Cap, Hulk, and after the movies Thor and Ant-Man.

Fun. 3rd season felt meh except when Storm was there and when we saw Red Guardian. My favorite What If Episodes were definitely the one where Strange resurrects Christine but has to let her go again, the Thor Las Vegas episode, T’Challa as Star Lord, and the Marvel Zombies episode where Uncle Ben gets mentioned

I'm with the other poster who said it was good but didn't live up to its potential. One negative for me was them using only 1 art style through all of it. Would have preferred different art for each episode.

Great review of the entire series. I enjoyed them all. The storytelling and representation now just hits differently from what I grew up with in the late 70's and 80's.

This Show had some gems and In my opinion just because we don't ask for something doesn't mean it wont be good or interesting for example- the Hella episode was something I never thought about and extremely interesting tbh, this show had a lot it could've done still and honestly if they made some of the stories “what if’s “ 2 episodes long that and cut few and still kept some 1 offs then they could've easily done better from that simple action

I hear you. I feel like two part stories could have also been good. I think they got a bit too lost in trying to give each season an overarching story. Like Season 1 it was cool and surprising. But Season 2 it felt a bit more forced. And then Season 3 just felt like they basically had to do it to wrap everything up. I wish that had been able to give us more because I feel like there were so many cool stories they could have told. I still feel like Storm got robbed in Season 3. I was really hoping she'd get her own episode. Sigh.

Over all I enjoy the series and my biggest problem even in season 1 is that it has a interconnected story. I just wish it had been a pure anthology and I also wish we got a episode based on every movie in the MCU.

I'm really hoping that the studio could do like "What If... Mini-Series" now, since they are doing that four episode "Marvel Zombies" show. Like, I feel like 4 episodes would be amazing to explore universes like the Old Western one or the Hela Ten Rings one.

I hope Jeffery Wright gets an Emmy nom for the watcher because he was truly the heart and soul of this series and it was so much fun seeing a good chunk of the MCU actors and actresses back even in voice form. Definitely agreed with the rankings Amanda. I was definitely left with more questions than answers toward the end. And do we see Captain Carter's team that are now watchers in secret war and doomsday 🤔🤔...what if.

I would actually love to see them again! I loved the team. The thing is I really like the characters they used, I just wish everything didn't feel so thrown together with them in that final season. And if they do bring them back it would be cool to see them in live action! :)

The show has some cool episodes, especially in season 1. But I think they missed the opportunity to be more creative. And after seeing X-Men 97, I didn't even care about what if anymore.

Hmm I really don't know about the Howard and Darcy pairing... I think if you have to say "technically not beastiality" then it's still just out of pocket.

What if had so much potential but unfortunately a lot of these what if scenarios weren't that interesting. Season 1 overall had better episodes imao, Season 2 was ok and unfortunately Season 3 was just mid. Great review, liked hearing your opinions 🙂

The strange from MOM isnt strange from what if. Especially since strange from MOM died after being thrown out a window
