I love the panels. Lulu has done a similar thing and then did panels across her ceiling between the ridges, so she still can use magnets 🧲

Hi Kym, I love the Paris themed fabric. I was thinking that fabric would also be nice to cover the inside of your black out window covers. Also you can make a couple of cardboard cutouts for the smaller places on the back doors and glue fabric on, then hot glue them on the doors. Just a thought. I live in new Zealand and really like your van build. You are doing a great job. Black cloud shears would also look nice against that fabric on the door panels.

I’m going to try and make some cutouts - that’s so smart! I have those indents where windows normally go and I'm not sure what to do with them! I want to put some havelock there for extra insulation. So I may work on that this weekend! Thanks!

Ive seen a,van built where they used a camping cot, still leaves room for storing stuff, since you dont want the wood heavy frame

Very cute! I do like the Paris theme. I have my guest room has a Paris theme in it. Since you have two of those curtain rods that are too short, could they go to over the one window side-by-side and have each one have a panel of the fabric in it or is it wide enough to put them side-by-side?

I love the panels you made. From what I can see, the fabric goes well with your floors. I think the pops of color should come from your decor, which you could change from time to time. I thought you had those ‘bubble’ bug screen curtains for the back and side doors?

I am going to be changing things up a lot in this van. You’re right about the decor. Thanks! The bug curtain will be at the side/sliding door when it's open. I don't have one for the very back. I doubt the blue curtains will keep out the mosquitoes.

If the rods are strong enough, can you put one by the sliding door vertically to use as a hand bar to help you get in and out of van.

I really really like the Paris theme fabric and you did a good job getting that together. You don’t want it too dark in your living space do you? Someone else mentioned black fringe which would look nice, a little pizazz. Take your time, you will get there 😊 Happy Thanksgiving!

I think looking thru the sheer curtains with clouds would give the feeling of looking thru a window in exotic places like Paris, blue sky and white clouds go with everything, look outside, Mother Nature doesn't change the color of the sky and clouds to coordinate with the color of the buildings below.

Working with a blank slate seems great because you can do whatever you want. But, I imagine it is also a bit difficult because making so many choices can be overwhelming. I love the curtains and the Paris covers, but, like you, I'm not sure I like them together. I know that is of no help to you... Sorry. I do know that when it is complete, you will have made it look fantastic. 😊

@OutonaLimbwithKym I used the Thinsulate but it still wasn't hard. If you have enough wool, it couldn't hurt to pack it in the ribs. Every little bit helps!
