For those worrying about the safety of the ice, thick ice is very safe 1 yard can take a load of approximately 110 tons ( 99, 790 kg) so he is extremely safe. Large heavy trucks with large loads use ice roads all the time in Canada 🇨🇦 AND the reason he makes it look sooo fun is because IT REALLY IS.

You make a great point about the frozen lake. Three boys died in December 2022 on a ‘frozen’ lake in the UK. It would be good to add some context around the conditions that make driving on a lake possible. People/Kids will watch this and may not understand the difference. Amazing to see the depth of the ice and the surrounding area was so beautiful.

Wow! The Northern Lights! Stunning! Your van looked unreal against the NL on the ice! I am in the San Francisco Bay area and am not used to iced over lakes - I have to admit I was holding my breath a little watching you out there. The beginning of the video made me laugh, though. Looked like fun! 😃 Have you ever ice skated on a lake like that? Your van is very comfy looking on the inside. Love the bed! Echo Lakes, Lake Alpine, and Donner all froze by November but they’re under so much snow now (100” ish) that it doesn’t quite look the same in your area haha

I'm also from Texas, and hope to go back up north myself pretty soon, there's honestly nothing here to film and do outdoors, I actually lived in Montana and Washington when I was a kid. I even seen the northern lights as far south as Spokane Washington.

Strewth! You must have a pair of bollocks the size of basketballs to take that van on the ice and leave it there for a prolonged period, no matter how thick the ice looks. I just couldn’t do it. I knew someone who perished on a frozen pond, trying to rescue his dog; he went under the ice and died, whilst the dog ended up getting out all of its own accord and it suffered no lasting effects. I didn’t even like the guy because he was a notorious local trouble causer, but I couldn’t help but feel for him and his relatives. Anyway, I digress; I’m sure that you are more experienced about those things over there, with colder temperatures and thicker ice etc, and it’s just a bad memory that I have and nothing more. They’re great little escapades and I can’t really fault your sense of adventure. Keep fighting the good fight, homie!

Just found your videos I need some outside time.. I love the outdoors and nature but last year has sick and homebound for a lot of time.. Just getting over another week of bed rest with pneumonia.. I can't wait to get my immune system back up, I spent the last five years doing trials till last year took the life out of me..watching these videos with people who take us back outside.. make me fight till the day In my old age I will be back out there.. let's hope... Keep up making these for you to look back on at the age we all get soon enough.. but especially for us who just want to dream one more time though the youth who not afraid to live and dream.. no matter what life hold for you... Thank You for sharing a little about yourself... We do care and now your not such a "stranger".... That scene looked soooooooo cold... Your van must be very well built to take that kind of cold.... Im guessing you built it as everything is custom to size (i.e. freezer/refrigerator compartment).... It would be interesting to know what kind of work you did prior to going full time in a van.... if Im correct you were proly in the health care field with a degree....
