Zero accountability. For Germanys first goal MDL was right on his man and right where he should've been. The goal scorer came from outside the box and the rest of the Netherlands team switched off. For Germanys second goal MDL was again, right on his man, right where he should've been and made a tackle. The goal scorer came from the rear post and VVD had switched off. Koeman knew there was no way he could sub his captain off at half time. So MDL was sacrificed instead. it continued in the second half, VVD constantly out of position. The joys of playing for Man Utd, everybody else around you can switch off but if your team lose it's your fault - the agenda is insane.

Hi there Jay I wanted to react on what you said about van Dijk talking about Matthijs de Ligt's misfortune. You already mentioned he is the captain, but there is something else as well and that also has baring on Ten Hag with for instance the Sancho not being in the Arsenalgame squad. I think it is a cultural thing. In the Netherlands people tend to be more upfront and honest about these things, which make it seem sometimes there is no deplomacy. So for van Dijk to react being asked the question didn't seem that weird as he also softend it by saying Matthijs will feel horrible about it himself. I am pretty sure he'll get over this, he was unlucky before and always climbed back on the horse.
