I think the hardest part of this solo is the fact that it doesn't make a lot of sense outside of the context of the other instruments. Super effective and legendary. RIP Eddie!

Carl, very nice! I've been playing 40 years by ear and can't tell you how many albums I have worn out ;). I love your lessons and feel like I am "cheating" when I hear AND see what is being played. THANK YOU. Craig🎸

It would really help those of us who play detuned to E Flat if you could share what the actual chords are behind the solo. I think they differ from the chug along (which you don't go into in either video). That way we can transpose for the one fret difference. You are by far the best at doing this, by the way. I like how you cater to those with a modicum of skill to begin with.

Thank you sir. Most excellent lesson! Now I just have to master this solo, and the keyboard solo! That's gonna be an even bigger challenge. I'm not a keyboardist (been playing guitar for over 40 yrs). But it's always good to challenge ourselves!

I love this song I like to play the piano cords on the guitar. Have no intention of ever learning taping. Not a shredder or does it chug. 😢 Sometimes hill country blues is all ya needs. ❤

Really well done! However, the way you explain the tapping sequence is a little different than how you play it. On the B and G strings you show and say tap on 9 - 13 - 6, but when you demo it right after you play 9-13-9-6...check the video. Not sure what's the correct way...

Is it just me or was there an alternating F and G part that he didn't really discuss, towards the beginning of the solo? He talked about harmonics, but not really the F and G.
