Great tune. I love the whole album. Some people didn't like the switch up but I thought it was time. 5150 is an absolute rocker as well.

It IS different. If you look at "Live without a Net", its remenicent of the drum solo. This takes me back a ways for sure.

Sammy era imo was really great! Original crew were great as well. Just was time for a change between DLR and Eddie. Sammy is much better singer and sounds much better vocally than DLR. DLR era overall was much harder vs Sammy era more radio friendly

I would say Sammy was better at ballads and quasi metal songs like this one and Judgement Day. Roth was better on party songs without being cringey or too misogynistic.
