I like that he says that the world doesn’t have enough laughter in the world. Lot of people need that release.

I really enjoyed the candor and insight in the conversation about the film world with Van Johnson and the wonderful questions by Jim. Van Johnson has such a great sense of humor and many of things he expressed are timeless and interesting. What a great interview.

Great interviewer. He was knowledgeable, he let Van talk (didn’t interrupt him) and he was soft spoken. You can tell Van liked this interview and appreciated him being interested in his career and not the people he worked with. I agree with Van, I love a good dinner show, filled with laughter. Who wants to go out on the town to watch a show that makes you feel miserable? I agree with Van wanting to have more laughter in the world, more joy.

Mr Johnson has an easy charm and a wicked sense of sending himself up but letting us in on the joke.

People today don't know what a hugh star like Van Johnson or a Peter Lawford were . They bought as much money in the box office as a Brad Pitt or a Tom Cruise do today . Film historians would know this . Wouldn't they !
