I separated from my husband almost 6 years ago, moved away alone and it’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me, alone discovering ME! becoming a stronger, better woman and keeping Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. Having joy and being at peace alone is power!!!! Same as you I have kids but they are way older, so I wasn’t completely alone in my transition. I've been watching Mateo for sometime now and I know you guys are brother and sister. I have to say that he is such a kind soul and I see that in you as well. I don't know if your mom is still around. I lost mine last Christmas. She too like you loved Christmas and mainly it was because of the lights and the giving. Unfortunately I lost her to a really bad battle with cancer. But I was gonna say you and Mateo must have gotten it from your mom. That down to earth free spirit. I think this is good for you. To be able to do these things while the kids are away and safe. Moments like this really helps a person find themselves on a deeper level. I don't know where you are but my God it's so green there! It reminds me of Georgia or Florida or even North Carolina. It's so beautiful. It makes me miss the south. I love the lights in the van they look cool too. Nice n groovy. Can't wait to see you fix the astro up the way you want it. I think it will be fun to watch! Oh also think you can get a wifi booster to put on the van and help with internet connection. Hey there!! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, I can't say I know what that feels like, but I can put myself in your shoes. We almost lost our mom a couple of years ago due to illness and were scared to death. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for the compliment. Yes, we do get it from her for sure. Yes, it's the best thing that could happen to me right now. When my kids go to spend time with their dad, I'm alone and sad mostly. But omg, this got me right out of that sadness. Thank God! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and for your support. I can't wait to get this van built up and make it my own. Haha! Part 2 is coming Sunday, and you will definitely get to see how my first night turned out. 😊❤️

I feel like I lost myself after my divorce a few years back and when I decided to get myself back on track, I was diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer that almost took my life before I was diagnosed.. In another van life video I saw how a long extra duty strip of magnet was used to cover the top of the hatch where the rain water comes in through. You just lay it over the groove between hatch door and roof. Seems older Astros have this issue, but the thick strip of magnet does the job. You can just lay it over the roof when not in rainy weather. Nice to see you now in Mateo’s blue van ❤❤❤❤
