I know it's different in each state but here you can't go completely off grid if you're in the grid because it's against the law which I believe is such BS but it exists. The electric companies have something to do with those laws of course. If you own your own home, you should be able to do what you want with it, especially if it cuts out a bill entirely. Anyway, that is one cool battery! I plan to have one battery dedicated to just my fridge and then a power station for the rest but I'm still unhappy about the broken bolt on my shock I took off this weekend to think about the van build. 😊 Congrats on the new battery! Here in az it depends on the land and how it’s zoned on what you can do you gotta buy land in remote areas usually to be off grid here

Hey mate. Do you live full time in your van? I do, I live in a Mitsubishi Express. Travelling Aussie land full time for the rest of my life pretty much. Keen to know more about your setup. I'm running a 135ah lithium (soon to be upgrading to 400ah). I've got a 780w solar setup on my roof. All this to power my 300w gaming laptop, and of course fridge and other stuff. I just can't run the laptop 24/7 until I get my battery upgrade (Minecraft AFK farms haha). I going for this setup because I stay in 1 spot for 2 weeks at a time, don't want to waste money running the engine to charge battery if I don't have to.

Hey yes I’m fulltime vanlifer from aus now living in United States now I almost bought an express van back in aus I ended up getting an ex ambo Volkswagen I run 580 ah battery bank 3000 watt inverter I have 710 watts of solar on the roof I also run starlink and Xbox and ps5 in my van 🚐

That's awesome! I'd love to ship my van to American and start travelling it in a decade or 2. I've only got a 500w inverter atm, enough to charge power tool batteries. That will eventually up to 2000w so I can run things like an air fryer. But in all reality, everything I have is 12v. Travel oven, jaffle maker, etc all 12v. I've always been a PC gamer so I don't really care for xbox and PS5. But I must admit, since being on the road, and some console exclusives have come to PC. I've found myself gaming on my laptop with a controller much more often (Ghosts of Tsushima is incredible btw, playing it atm). Hope you have a great trip mate! Definitely subbed to keep up to date.
