It is not that hard to get here. Book a flight to Calgary or Vancouver after covid. Rent a car at the airport, or rent a small camper van in the city, but you must stay on paved roads, one can see A LOT from the main highways. NEVER, EVER, go on gravel/dirt backroads without a lot of skill and experience, the same with any foot travel off of well-marked, well-used trails, it is VERY easy to get into SERIOUS difficulty. Use the official provincial tourism websites to plan your trip, and reserve lodging and campgrounds well in advance. There are aerial cable-cars to mountain-tops in the towns of Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Golden, Revelstoke, Whistler, and Vancouver City, a little pricey ($50 each) but worth it. Best time to travel is late June or very early July, forest fire smoke may affect the views after then, and some things are still closed in early June. I have lived here all my life, and know the whole region and where Foresty goes very well. Socially, it is a safe area.
