Van Life on Scotland's NC500

This is Part 1 of our NC500 Van Life series in the far far north of Scotland !!
The NC500 is a 516 mile route consisting of stunning coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains, remote fishing villages, hidden gems, and a wealth of unforgettable experiences, and in this series we want to find out whether the North Coast 500 is the world’s most beautiful van life road trip !
In today's video we start off just north of Inverness and make our way slowly to Dunnet Head stopping off at so many amazing places along the way

Scotland is absolutely amazing. As you refer to quite alot in this video... The weather is unpredictable but we love it. But yeah, this vlog cracked me up. The delight on your face and in your voice with the £1.37 fuel 😂 Sylw loves birds too, she is always telling me about the different types 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, nice to catch up with you all. @TravelTalesVlogs Yeah it was brilliant. I feel like your vlogs are alot more polished and flow really well. It was also nice to see the places we visited a couple of years ago. Most people flock to the west side of the NC500 but the east is beautiful too

Good evening C2H! Ohhhhh myyyy Godddd Guys .... This VLOG is No.2 after Cappadocia 🤩 What amazing scenery, wildlife & landscape. Rule No. 1 in Scotland: Prepare for a hurricane - everything else is a bonus! Loved the dolphins, cormorants, gannets (the one's Chris referred to as 'white birds that aren't puffins' haha) & the drone footage as always! Rule No. 2 in Scotland: Have midge nets ready (cream, spray, repellent or whatever) because you will get bitten rotten!! Keep up the good work, drive safe, stay safe & look out for each other & I very much look forward to NC500 Part 2 etc. Kev x

I am planning to do this next week. I will be camping most of the nights of my trip. How is the midges problem there?

Wow sure you're gonna love it 🙂 Yeah the midges can be a bit of a pain, we found that it's either all or nothing, on some days it was perfect but on 2 or 3 occasions we couldn't even get out of the van especially when its hot by a lake. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series and have a great time there ! ❤️

​@@TravelTalesVlogsthanks for the reply! I hope you are having a great time there and not having trouble with midge bites. If you did get bitten by them, just use a pinch of turmeric power with drops of water and leave it on for like 2 hours. It will heal a bit.
