Brings back memories. We did it last year. You walk for ages then cross the damn road you came in on. My 10yo was thrilled with the ufo monument. One of our best days out. We brought our caravan down from morecambe and stayed a week in the forest. Brilliant for family mountain biking.

Leggit, or see your breakfast, I am sure you missed the opportunity to be probed by little green men. A truly interesting place, and in the 80's we had nukes parked all over the country, some belonging to us, and the USA. The current situation brings back the late 80's to us all, after all, I can remember being shown what to do if it happened. As for campevans, I went in with a VW. But I agree it is a costly gig - and you are forever upgrading bits. But from my perspective, well worth it.

I`ve often wondered if this was the russians upto no good, but after seeing their pitiful invasion of Ukraine, i very much doubt they had the technology in the 80`s.. PS, i would hang on a while for a camper, prices have gone silly , but they`ll come down,.
