You can take the boy out of the army…..but not the army out of the boy! Great video from ex Royal Greenjacket at 63 still enjoying tarp camping ( without shell scrapes) 😂

I'm generally so envious of your life, this can only be a dream I have as I have small children and a partner who doesn't want the same life style. I love your videos, and I get told I'm delusional for wanting this 😔. Keep up what your doing I love your journey

Great idea for content. So many versions of the bug out bag but your version covers things like having to leave for 12 hours for a flood or something. Excellent stuff.

Good stuff Helikon. I have two of the pilgrim anoraks (SAS with half length zip) and a woodsman, all smocks. Also pilgrim trousers. Non of them are waterproof, but I use Fabsil on them (tent UV protection and waterproofer). I find the wax doesn’t allow your body to breathe, okay for bushcraft and it’s of course traditional. Also use Barbours, but any thing physical makes me overheat so have never risked using wax on my Helikon stuff. I use Fabsil on clothing and racksacks, I never considered it until I happened to see it written on the can that it can be used on clothing and equipment. You obviously have to reapply it every so often.

Not sure if you're getting ready for the boxing day sales or this is a week off video but as per usual, great content! RF noise aside I think the one thing missing from your pack is non-network comms like the meshtastic stuff Andy Kirby has been youtubing about maybe?
