"Moondance, "And it Stoned Me," "Caravan," as well as "into the Mystic." All from the Moondance LP. I still listen to it after all these years. Van was one of the greats!
@janflewelling627711 күн бұрын
You could drop the needle randomly on the Moondance album and get a hit. As close to a perfect album as I can think of. Not a bad cut in the bunch. Favorite - Into the Mystic. Love the sax "foghorns".

Oh no, You said the title that sticks in my head! I'm typing this while listening to BP talk and the whole time I can hear "and it stoned me to my soul Stoned me just like jelly roll and it stoned me!" I had to take that song off of one of my playlists because it sticks in my head so bad LOL.

Baby Boomers such as myself have become known, now-days for insisting that "we had the best music"....and it's true. The incredibly vast verity of music is one of the reasons...plus radio...plus 'do your own thing' attitude. Van Morrison ...still in our collection of albums, cassettes, CD's and and now playlist via ONLINE (online shinning on our collections for a whole new audience). Thanks for sharing your reaction!

@@LovesLabs Yes yes yes!! WIDE range. I was born in 1953....my teenage sister played great 'be-bop' on records, and along with our Parents we watched many of the greatest talents of their age, in black & white on Ed Sullivan, our Uncle who lived with us played serious Country back then, we saw some fads come and go, on the music scene growing up, but what an amazing wide range of input, songs during and after Vietnam War .Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstat, Ike & Teana Turner etc etc etc!!! It's really fun for me to watch the reactions from this current younger gen. Love that they love the music! OUR music!! ...and expanding their own capabilities!

Van Morrison is one of my absolute favorites. He is so talented. He plays multiple instruments, writes his lyrics, and this rabbit hole is a very deep and full of GREAT music. Tupelo Honey, Into the Mystic, Moondance, Have I Told You Lately, Bright Side of the Road. . . . . He is still around and putting out music, which I purchase.

I remember my brown eyed girl. She didn't want me to forget her either, my brown eyed girl`~~~ It was the summer of 1967, and it was known as the Summer of Love. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band came out that year too. It was the Beatles eighth album I believe, I was drafted the following spring, and I still have that draft card in my crusty old wallet. I took an extra year of service to get my school of choice and that got me thirteen months in Beautiful Thailand Black Pegasus. I think you'll agree it's beautiful and the food is fine and all good except for the sun-dried squid. The Thais loved it! I hit the lottery so to speak BP, being in R&R Land and I & I land instead of Vietnam just a few miles away behind Laos & Cambodia. The Mekong River separates Thailand from Laos & Cambodia. Small, motorized boats can navigate this large river, 12th longest in the world.
