The best music is still being performed by legendary artists like Van Morrison. I am from the same demographic as Mr. Morrison and got to see him perform live many times. I really miss those days and hope the music he created remains in the collective consciousness of everyone, especially younger fans who never got to appreciate these performers in their prime. Still great after all these years

He’s a brilliant arranger- a true band leader and like this live performance he can change it up and mix it up- soulful and good ol’ r&b. Superb. Organ just at the right time. Love this song and it was notched it up a bit. Singing about Los Angeles and No Ireland. Only Sir Van and he’s still writing these great songs in his 70’s. Better than the other Sir’s. Letting is great band shine. His lead guitar player, Dave is brilliant. Love love love Sir Van. See ya in LV and California ❤️👌🏼

I can't help but wonder if the "garden somewhere near the beach" is a reference to Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine on Sunset Boulevard, one of the most beautiful places in Los Angeles. It would make sense someone told Van about it at The Whiskey (also on Sunset, but in a very different part of town)....

Probably is one of those places. I used to live in L.A. and remember the secret hideaways in desolated areas. L.A. was a really hip place to live back in those days
