I can honestly tell you, I do not miss those ridiculously large mosquitoes that we battled in Fairbanks most of my early life. We wore the same little netting top and bottoms that you had on actually had to wear them even to go to the grocery store or to your friends house to play or even to hang laundry out on a clothesline. They were relentless. There weren’t any oil fields when I was in school in Fairbanks we would go to the Arctic Circle to camp every summer as a family and there wasn’t anything like that not even an airport. It was very primitive.
