Thank goodness he's not like the others, it would have broken my heart. He's the Papa Bear of nomadic life and was the one who inspired me to get out of a 12 year abusive relationship. He was the first, that I know of , to highlight and bring awareness to the plight of aging women and their need for affordable housing options. (Boondocking, car living, tiny house, etc.) There are good genuine people in this movement.

Loved this! I am still in my "planning stages" as a working woman, but this is how I will be living within 5 years. Currently saving to be able to buy outright (meaning no payments) some kind of extended van, or small RV (but really leaning towards a van). I have already downsized over the last few years from a three bedroom house, down to my current studio. Getting rid of all the accumulated "stuff" I was basically a slave to keeping up with was one of the most cathartic and freeing things I've ever done!. Have also - and I cannot stress enough just how important this part is - paid off, then got rid of all my credit cards and now live *completely* debt-free, with just two debit cards. In other words, I don't spend money I do not have...and that is truly freedom! I live slowly and deliberately as I prepare to make that final transition into a nomad van-dwelling life. I also want to keep it as simple as possible, so that using things and fixing things can be as much DYI as possible (so no "high tech" RV's, no slides outs, no complicated systems...etc). Yet, like this wonderful woman, I also still want to retain my sense of style (I, too, am a head wrapper). She looks and seems like a centered and truly happy being. Hope I get to meet her sometime. Thank you so much for sharing this Bob Wells, and for being the beacon that you are for all of us who want to live life out of the awful, soul-sucking rat race. Blessings be upon you all for this new year!
