In today's video, we meet Crystal Vanner, a KZbinr who is living in a minivan and loving it! She has done a remarkable job of turning her tiny space into a pleasant and comfortable tiny home on wheels on a very small budget. She doesn't have a lot of money or any special talents, she's just an ordinary person who has chosen to live an extraordinary life. If you are willing to take the chance and do the work, you can too!!

Thank goodness he's not like the others, it would have broken my heart. He's the Papa Bear of nomadic life and was the one who inspired me to get out of a 12 year abusive relationship. He was the first, that I know of , to highlight and bring awareness to the plight of aging women and their need for affordable housing options. (Boondocking, car living, tiny house, etc.) There are good genuine people in this movement.

Hey Crystal, I like that saying. Not homeless houseless, for now, by choice. I'm planning on mobile homing this spring. I plan to save money, buy land, and build a small house on it. I have the advantage of working at night, so I'm hoping stealth parking may be easier to stealth park during the day. Seeing women like you....focused, goal oriented, and motivated by the freedom and independence of owning a truly mobile home helps me a lot. Thanks so much for posting.

Loved this! I am still in my "planning stages" as a working woman, but this is how I will be living within 5 years. Currently saving to be able to buy outright (meaning no payments) some kind of extended van, or small RV (but really leaning towards a van). I have already downsized over the last few years from a three bedroom house, down to my current studio. Getting rid of all the accumulated "stuff" I was basically a slave to keeping up with was one of the most cathartic and freeing things I've ever done!. Have also - and I cannot stress enough just how important this part is - paid off, then got rid of all my credit cards and now live *completely* debt-free, with just two debit cards. In other words, I don't spend money I do not have...and that is truly freedom! I live slowly and deliberately as I prepare to make that final transition into a nomad van-dwelling life. I also want to keep it as simple as possible, so that using things and fixing things can be as much DYI as possible (so no "high tech" RV's, no slides outs, no complicated systems...etc). Yet, like this wonderful woman, I also still want to retain my sense of style (I, too, am a head wrapper). She looks and seems like a centered and truly happy being. Hope I get to meet her sometime. Thank you so much for sharing this Bob Wells, and for being the beacon that you are for all of us who want to live life out of the awful, soul-sucking rat race. Blessings be upon you all for this new year!

This is cool. If I was single no kids I’d do this 6 months of every year to save money. Smart. Crystal seems lovely.

I found myself looking up tiny homes just out of pure curiosity, and came across this channel. I am so fascinated by the "house-less" movement and don't know why more people don't do this. At least for a few months, save some money and decide if this is a good choice for them or not. I happen to have a relative who is newly homeless due to life issues and sometimes sleeps in their car. But let me tell ya, after seeing how many of you live so well in your homes-on-wheels, I think it's fantastic! I've told him, "make it your home, temporary or not." My other family members think it's dangerous and "sad", but I'm like, watch these videos!! There's such a great way to do it! Kudos to you all living free and your own way! And keep the vids coming, I can't get enough of 'em! Haha. Now personally, I don't think I'll ever be house-less because my husband is 6'8 and around 380lbs, so there aren't many homes-on-wheels short of a mobile home that'll fit him! Haha, but carry on! Blessings all.

She, as are many of the Women I have watched on your videos, is very inspiring & admirable. They are living and exemplifying the unique strengths of skilled, capable, creative, and strong women, who are also smart and able to go out and live productive, adventurous, independent lives on their own, AND be beautiful. GOD bless & protect all of you, and your loved ones. HE has a plan and purpose for all of this.
