The BR800 is a 4 mix engine, I have one and your right, its an absolute animal. I bought the MS231 about 7 years ago just for branches, it’s the chainsaw I use the most. Nice efficient set you have. Thanks for the vid

Nice I’ve got lwb Renault but I run my mowers out the side doors less damage to car and frees up space for green waste in back of van. I’m in oz and we have a bad car break-ins so we have to keep things low so they can’t see. Hope you have a good year
@JackOfAllGardens19 күн бұрын
i didnt think it was like that in oz, seems peaceful. id love a lwb, theres so many more options on how you could have it, i have been debating about raising my floor a few inch to hide a few tools under there, all though ill have the new van next year. Happy new year, all the best

@@JackOfAllGardens Do you use the typhoon 3 to spray weed killer? It looks interesting.
@JackOfAllGardensАй бұрын
yes, i opted for the typhoon 3, its a great piece of equipment. i hear the 2.5 cyclone and typhoon are both amazing, if your looking to save a little bit of money they will both do the same job. if you do get them, you can get a battery adapter for dewalt etc and use dewalts batteries and save more money rather then paying for typhoon batts.

@@JackOfAllGardens Thanks for the reply. I have a big mansion grounds to maintain. Weeds are a nightmare. I need a bit of top kit for it. Sounds like that maybe that is the piece of kit to get. Thanks again.

You have a nice setup chap! I had the Makita handheld blower, it was excellent, i now use the Husqvarna 525BX, it's the best on the market in my opinion. My backpack is the Husqvarna 580BTS, it's a beast. Combi's are a godsend, i use the Husqvarna 535LK. Never had to buy a HS 82, as my old HS81R just refuses to die, fantastic machine!! Wish you all the best with your business chap!!!
@JackOfAllGardens2 ай бұрын
Thankyou. I will have a look into the Husqvarna blowers for a replacement for the Makita, unfortunately Makita stepped away from combustion engines so i wont even be able to get parts or a replacement one. haha refuses to die. an they don't half take a beating. well hopefully not for a few years, but when you do have to get a HS82, you will love it. Thanks, all the best.

Have an old estate car.... One without the STUPID wheel-Arches protruding inside! Paid £1250 for my 2003 estate and it's still going eleven years later. Kombi System - 8ft Tripod ladder on the roof... Too many other tools to list. They all go in there though... Don't carry everything every day though, such as the MS261c, as it's not used often.
@JackOfAllGardensАй бұрын
amazing, i did use my car for the 1st year (seat ibiza) but it got difficult to lift heavier equipment in and out. i applaud the grind :) have you considered a van or are you happy with what you have got? thanks for the comment. have a great day
@ReggieChumpАй бұрын
@@JackOfAllGardens 👍 The estate is fine. It's low enough at the back to get the lawnmower in easily. Bit of a pain if I swap the tripod ladder for the roofing ladder though, as the boot opens on it! Mattock, drainage spade, shovel, trowel, hand saw, Wolf Garten 3m pole (loppers - saw - hoe for it). Stihl bypass loppers, plus a cheap pair of loppers for dicing stuff up (same with shears... Two pairs, one expensive, one cheap). The KM-131r is very handy for space saving (leaf-blower - strim - hedge-cutter). The broom & rake are the only things that really annoy me in the back, as they're always in the way! I use bed sheets to cover it up from the sun... The sheets can be used as a blanket around plants when you're trimming (say on a slate bed). Here's a tip for chainsaw sharpening "Magnetic Angle File Plate" using a file in a handle, this gets the saw really Sharp. Have a lot more tools, but I'm boring now... Take care out there and remember the vibrations/percussion on your hand's. Also, dust... It's brutal.. Ivy & Elaeagnus being a couple of nastys!! PRESS TO CHECK FILTER dust mask.... ) Sigh, another thing to maintain).
@JackOfAllGardensАй бұрын
that all sounds great. yeah the ladders on the roof are a pain i nearly put my back window through a few times when using my car, fun times lol. i do use respiratory equipment but only when im spraying, the filters are like £20 and last for the year but it can be very sweaty to use. could you put a drainpipe on the roof and put your brush etc in there to keep it out the back of your car to save room?
@ReggieChumpАй бұрын
Good thinking on the drainpipe. Glad you have a good respirator. The JSP Force 8, is a bit like having a face-hugger from Aliens on!Just finished a new job today (after 5 hours without a break, or even a wee!). For the past couple of years, I keep getting new jobs in the Winter. I'm lucky that I have a big job, that never stops all year.... Also, lovely people and a beautiful place.... It's not a Cat-Toilet either!
@JackOfAllGardensАй бұрын
i was going to get the jsp force 8 but apparently it can lose its seal on your face if you have a beard? could you clarify that if you have a beard? brilliant, so do you work all year round then, no time off over winter?

Last year I bought the Weibang Virtue 50SVP and it's probably been my best purchase in the last year. It goes through pretty much anything and really collects well in the wet. When it's really wet or alot of dew in the morning I spray my decks with GT85 so it helps the grass not sticking as much to the deck. Great van vid mate, just subscribed 👍
@JackOfAllGardens2 ай бұрын
wow. that is one of the best ideas I've ever heard. ill try that on my roller mower as my rm 455 has the solid plastic deck and it may damage it over time. a lot of gardeners around me use the weibangs and i hear some fantastic things about them, i was very close to getting one this season. thanks for the great comment and support
@mattycooper3162 ай бұрын
@JackOfAllGardens for £600 I think it's definitely the best in its price range. I also bought the new Stihl 453 T this summer and is fine in the dry but struggled when it's really wet to bag well. I wanted something that was a little lighter as the Weibang is a beafy mower. I think it needs a bigger engine in my opinion as its slightly under powered but it's light and definitely can smash some gardens out for sure.
@JackOfAllGardens2 ай бұрын
i would agree, for a 21inch deck, it would be nice to have at least a 180cc engine. it looks like a banging piece of equipment for the price. the plastic boxes can be a great thing to have but i find my self having to really clean them when its boggy, the holes get blocked so fast. thats the exact reason i got the 455, something to chuck in and out of the van, those 2 mins loading and unloading sure do add up
@mattycooper3162 ай бұрын
@JackOfAllGardens Yeah when you've got a good few gardens to do it does make a difference pushing around a lighter mower

I m sure your br800 is 4 stroke on 4 mix (2 stoke petrol mix). I have same
@JackOfAllGardensАй бұрын
as far as im aware. it has the 4-stroke technology but using a 2 stroke mix like other stihl engines using the 50 to 1 ratio. tbh i think we are saying the same thing. unless i have it wrong and will need a new engine by the new season

great idea. ill hire 1 too see how i get on. thanks so much
@russellpetrie1192 ай бұрын
trailer is better than bigger van keep below 2 ton cheaper mot also if you have awkward parking hard to get to places leave trailer at home they longer than a van and lose virtauly no money also can trade easier for bigger smaller trailer in time to suit your needs with minimal cost and no worry of mechanical costs ie servicing mots repairs
@JackOfAllGardens2 ай бұрын
very very true, it would be a lot better for taking away waste and would be helpful when it come to transport bigger machinery as well. i wouldn't have thought that the MOT is more expensive for a bigger van though. I have looked at trailers, i may just bite the bullet for next season. The only thing is, i have never drove with a trailer. could be free advertisement if i jack knife it in the middle of the road haha thanks so much for the help mate
