Looking great! I just started watching your channel and you've proven that your van does not have to be perfect (or finished) to get out there and adventure!

Thank you for tuning in and the positive feedback. Your comment is EXACTLY why I wanted to share as I go. I couldn’t afford a fully converted and I didn’t want to wait months to work on my own before traveling ♥️. Are you considering full time, or just adventuring?

Good looking windows, I noticed @2:38 that the window was fitted inverted with the drain ports facing up. I hope you noticed this glitch before the final install. Good Vibes !

That’s where I’m headed in a couple of days… if it’s not too windy or cold. Was just watching a guy who does some pristine builds & he recommends 3M Thinsulate - a pricey acoustic thermal automotive insulation. I’d use it, but I don’t plan on being anywhere that’s colder than 60°F.

Wow looks great your coming alone, we are heading to Dallas, area my electric jack went out it’s fairly new so ordered a new one off amazon my friend put it on, after four years I am putting some personal touches on I think I waited so lone because not 100% in love with the camper.

What’s he charge? This guy in SoCal charges $550 per bunk window! I plan to do that. Won’t have power to fan right away either. Do you hear it whistle in that spot? I hope not because that’s where I planned to put mine. A slider window might be nice for you. Easier to park and turn left when you can see out that side. I hope to get the windows/fan in stat! Haha

Looks great! I’ve spoken to Doug several times when I purchased the hitch for my Casita . He takes pride in his work!!! Do you have a link as to where you purchased the windows ? Do you also think the max air is better in front of van ? Or above the bed ? Thanks again for sharing Christi ! 😁
@TinyTexanAdventures10 ай бұрын
Yes Doug definitely takes pride in his work, which is why I went straight to him after the van purchase hoping he’d be on board for my wish list :-). As it turned out he was already planning to expand into some van work so now my list for just keeps growing lol Here’s the link for my windows: vanwindowsdirect.com/vwd-vw3310l-half-slider-van-bunk-window/ On the fan, I know several people who like it above the bed or very close. I wanted something a little closer to the front since I already have the 2 windows right by the bed and my hope is to circulate throughout the entire van not just the back section. I find myself sitting near the front for eating and getting ready for the day so it is nice for that. With that said, I’ve only had it this way for a short time and not fully tested it out so I could have a different answer in 6 months lol.

@@TinyTexanAdventures Thanks for the information. I’m probably going to do kinda the same thing as you are doing. But, I’m keeping the Casita . I need the extra sleep quarters when we do our bike packing and backpacking trips. Also , the Van can pull the Casita easily! Thanks again Christi .👍😁

@ralphp3057 awesome! I would’ve kept Gidget but since I don’t have a home base I didn’t want to put her and my SUV in storage 10 months out of the year. Sounds like you have a great plan :-). Keep me posted
