I've always thought it silly to say "This can't be metal, it has an emo sound to it!" and vice versa. What's more emo than screamed, intense vocals about deeper subjects that often get overlooked and letting loose the emotions(rage) you have bottled up inside? What's more metal than being unapologetically you and being open about your emotions, going against what society thinks for what you believe is right and dressing exactly how you want, regardless of what others think of it? In my mind, genres past rock, metal and punk are pretty much all muddled together. Everything has elements of everything else nowadays and I LIKE THAT! If the song sounds good, the song sounds good and i WILL listen to it, even if it isn't considered 'cool' or 'real metal' or whatever. I live happily in my bubble of carefree music appreciation. (I'm not saying you're saying this, I'm saying the elitists who refuse to listen to the two mixed together are dumb)
