Vanagon Automatic Transmission linkage, how does it work?

This helped me figure out why my throttle was sticking open. Thanks! Previous owner actually welded a regular boot into the end of the rod that goes to the throttle body, so that's fun.

@@VanAgain as it turns out, it was just that the bushing was so far gone that it was as if the bolt had been welded in place. 😂 It took a not-so-gentle tap of a hammer to extract it.
