No doubt Mauger and Byrne were really picking out potential signings afterwards but anyways hopefully the PRC returns this year with COVID no longer a problem as well as Tonga A and even Junior Japan in the mix.

Samoa very weak defensively. I'd say their defensive structures or lack of have a lot to do with that, but their individual technique is also poor. They would benefit a lot from a northern defensive coach who could implement an effective rush defense which would help overcome the smaller size of the Samoans by allowing them to get up quickly before the bigger Fijians can build any momentum. Catching them behind the advantage line would also allow them to reform their d line before the next phase. They were frequently caught short and scrambling constantly in this game.
