I’m pretty old. And today I watched the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris. Each country entered via a boat along the river. So, by Vance’s logic, then people without children should also not pay taxes for public education. I have an aunt who is recently retired and has no kids. I have a brother who has no kids. Should they not pay taxes to educate the youth? Both are going to get sick at some point in their lives and both are going to need a physician and a qualified nurse to take care of them. If they don’t pay taxes for public education then the logical conclusion is that they should be denied healthcare because they *chose* not to have children. Society: we are all in this together.
