My family came to this country in 1970. After a political crisis, my father decided to leave me and my brother here in the States. We followed the stringent immigration rules step by step and waited for years before we finally received our citizenship. I was so excited to be able to vote for the first time! I’m a proud LEGAL Immigrant ! In two days I’m going to travel overseas, I thought about the lengthy process of leaving and reentering the State through the immigration gates at the airport, while the tens and thousands of illegal “mobs” crossing our border without any credentials but being treated like guests! What a slap in the face to us…the LEGAL immigrants!

We now have a shortage of ESL teachers, special ed teachers and general education teachers. I often had to go at a slower pace & gave more attention to the ESL students b/c of the language barrier. That affected the rest of my class' learning. Sometimes, I'd pair a high performing student to help ones w/ limited English. That helped a lot! The great migration makes our schools overcrowded. One teacher to a classroom cannot be affective if there too many students, where most can't speak English. No wonder there's a high burnout rate 4 teachers!

I immigrated to US as a child in 1980’s and back then, schools didn’t have ESL classes, and no school teachers treated me differently because of my language barrier. If I flunk a class, I flunked a class and remediated. No special treatment from other fellow students either ( other than-there were some who made fun of me and bullied me). Certainly good to know things have changed-that the “students fluent in English are willing to “pair up” with students with language barriers, in order for them to quickly learn the language and the culture. That can only be a good experience for both English speaking and non speaking students. Yes, overcrowding does not help any students or the teachers. Hope our experienced, caring educators are being heard, and the resources they need are being provided. Shortage of teachers and their compensation has been a chronic issue. Many thanks to our dedicated educators.

I like Brian Donalds as well, both of them are family men I can identify with on the issues that are killing the American nuclear family and I wouldn't mind seeing them team up as the 1 and 2. In my opinion that would be destruction for democrats, the only thing holding back the republican party is lack of diversity, nominating a foundational American black man to a high Republican office would destroy the blue, they'd completely have to re-strategize. By the way, "brilliant" doesn't necessarily win elections. A "brilliant" candidate might be tempted to step on the third rail, so to speak, and discuss the role of our privately-owned central bank in causing inflation (dollar devaluation). But where would this lead? The Fed has been in operation for over 100 years, never been audited, and failed to stabilize the economy. Look at their track record: exaggerated boom & bust cycles, inflation, stagflation, etc. Regardless of whether we have a Democrat or Republican administration!

Trump is the one who is keeping our border unsecured for his political theater. He has directed the House Speaker to not bring to the floor for a debate, edit and vote the Bipartisan Border package which would give the president the required congressional authority to close the borders and the necessary funding to secure and administer the border issue.
