Thank you for the report. I noticed that you had the spiral wire "feeders" in the mix of carp gear. I was under the impression that chumming of any kind is not legal in B.C., would love to hear how that is being interpreted by C.O.s in the carp fishery.

Good question petr. If everyone is interested take a look at the written report for more details. But in short If the hook is incorporated into feeder - As one presentation it is considered legal and not going against the intention of the chumming restriction (to keep hap hazard baiting of an area illegal or have it spill into other fisheries)

Cap is hit and miss as always, People are definitely catching coho, but not consistently. If you want them you're gonna have to put the time in and do your best to time your trips with the tides and correct river levels. The summer steelies are due any time in the Cap as well as some leftover winters that are still being caught with some regularity

Went out twice this long weekend. Higher water levels with the snowmelt, nothing for me. Tide timings weren't good for morning fishing and didn't bother to stay through the day with it still being May. Guessing fish are moving through so canyon spots are hit or miss with fish not really holding there. Maybe try fishing lower section with the tide next week for me if water levels hold around this level.

Sight fished a few carps last year in Osoyoos, it was an absolute blast. For sure want to get one on the fly this year if I'm out that way. Also I picked up that Outbound Short, looking forward to that summer beach fishing!
