This is about as good as it's possible to get,just absolutely sensational.The complexity,power and totally expert musicianship are testimony to a band who have been at the top of their game for over 25 years,yet STILL don't get the credit they deserve.Just sheer mind blowing brilliance!

Amazing band with every release since I discovered them at Christ 0 being anticipated with all kinds of excitement. My go-to melodic prog metal band for 13 years now. This song's lyric video is one of the best I've seen - and of course the song is 'off the charts!'.

Does anyone actually realize this is an early 80s band? Dream Theater formed in 1983 after they met this band and the whole DT project was meant to emulate this band. In my mind this has got to be the pinnacle of progressive metal on earth.
@jms9805 жыл бұрын
Here is a question I often have thought about; who created progressive metal? It either had to be Fates Warning or Queensryche.
@kevingthompson145 жыл бұрын
Neither, it went back to the 1970s = TRIUMPH is regarded across the board as the fathers of progressive rock/metal. Why that is so I cant say, but Rolling Stone agrees with it as does the vast majority of hard core music people. Triumph was always superior to Rush and my whole young life it was always that Rush was THAT OTHER CANADIAN BAND. I also think 80s YES was highly progressive and one of their songs opened with the classic symphony of Peter Gynt Suite. Fates Warning is more recent and Queensryche was very late 80s. Most people dont realize how powerful the music was in the 70s. The band BOSTON simply has no equal and I strongly urge you to look and and hear FORE PLAY/LONGTIME it is a progressive rock masterpiece. Another unsung group is April Wine = Gypsy Queen is amazing by them. My favorite of them all would come down to either ASIA or ZEBRA.
@jms9805 жыл бұрын
@@kevingthompson14 I thought about that, that wasn't metal. Progressive yes. Metal no

Ups!

Once again this record label seem to can't put out anything bad. I like the idea behind this whole album it's kind of interesting. I've also never listen to progressive metal before but it's good I like it I think it's dangerous following this record label now haha I could go broke buying all this music! But keep it comin'!

I like the song itself, Mixture of classic power metal and 80's thrash metal riffs added in. My only complaints, The vocals need to be lifted a bit to get them out of the dirt. Its really hard to hear him in someplace's its just mumbling. Lower the synth also, but in the end it is progressive right?
