Well, it’s all unfortunate. I believe Kobe’s parents did have his best interest at heart. I believe any parent would not have wanted their son to rush into marriage at such a young age, while dating an underage young lady at the time. He was new to the NBA and they wanted him to take his time and not rush into something they felt he wasn’t ready for. Now the whole situation regarding Kobe taking care of them, he was just built differently. Shaq has always take care of his parents; they wanted for nothing; that wasn’t the way Kobe operated; he would take care of them to an extent only. Although Vanessa owes them nothing, I hope she can show some compassion towards the rest of Kobe’s family.
