Vanessa de Jesus to play for Gilas women in FIBA Women's Asia Cup | Sports Desk

A timely boost for the Gilas Pilipinas women's team for their next assignment this month.
Filipino-American Vanessa de Jesus will play for the women's national team in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup. The Philippines will open its campaign against host country Australia on June 26th. De Jesus currently plays for Duke University in the US NCAA.
She is expected to reinforce Gilas women - bannered by standouts Jack Animam, Afril Bernardino, and Ella Fajardo.

Coach Pat, take a naturalized center. Vanessa de Jesus will be useless without an efficient center waiting for her drop passes/assists. Amiman is just so slow and easily gets tired, she is also very poor in free throw shooting. We are already heavy on guards. We need somebody in the center position who can impose and can be the recipient of De Jesus' potent interior passes. Also Vanessa can have adequate room to shoot the threes if there is an imposing figure down the post.

I don't think she can jive well with the current players due to Lack of familiarity and chemistry even an NBA player can't play well without enough preparation it's a basketball 5*5 not one on one game.
