So yeah he averages 6 assists but look how many of those other assists from draymond or whoever came directly from either Currys movement post pass or the double and triple team he gets once he passes half court.

Steph is a shooter and the best to have ever done it..he is literally a 2 gaurd,... great shooters will always get attention no matter what position they play like Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Larry Bird, , etc but they weren't point gaurds MJ, Kobe Dwade and AI were all 2 gaurds that got the same attention Steph gets...they created the problems for opposing teams like Steph does. I somehow knew Curry was going to be point guard and don’t have issue being on someone’s list, but their eras have definitely 2 different positions from the traditional PG. That point about Magic needing the ball? Keep in mind Nixon was the point guard in 80-83 before the Lakers traded him. During those years, Magic still obtained 2 finals MVPs. Not bad for “someone who needs the ball…” :)

@@walrus3132 uh dude, at age 35 he basically became the point guard of his team and led the league in assists. Not to mention winning a title. ;) Now imagine having the team i just mentioned with him in his absolute prime and being the facilitator ;) Also being a very unselfish superstar player that loves getting his players involved. Not only that, being able to rely easily of his teammates sinking their shots from a dish from him. Especially during important moments in the game. You're not thinking much into this i'm afraid. As for KD over Tim Duncan? Simple. KG was an athletic power fucking forward with amazing defense as well as a nice Plus with his trash talking. We never got to truly see how damn good KG could have been seen and thought of if he had teammates like Ray Allen and a Paul Pierce earlier in his career the way Tim Duncan had David Robinson and then soon Manu and Parker. Was not as good as a blocker like Tim Duncan, but don't need that from KG when got Hakeem. Was a better stealer, and dishing out assists than Duncan. They are pretty much identical in their rebounding skills. Plus, KG was a defensive player of the year along with being an amazing hustler. I just simply loved his style of play. Plus, I am a bit bias due to the fact he is my 2nd all time favorite player. (Jason Kidd is my all time favorite) I am 36 years old and no, Michael Jordan nor LeBron james is my all time favorite player. And i know all about the talk that people that hate lebron have been trying to say and make arguments about asterisks and such and damn "easy path to victory in the finals." As if we just throw away the fact that Tim's first ring was during a strike season as well as Spurs facing in the Finals an 8th seed opponent. And what happened after LeBron and the Lakers actually defeated the 8th seed opponent this year that many claimed was the most talented 8th seed in history of the NBA? (Who cares, it was an 8th seed team) So I am sure you may get an idea why i chose these as my starting 5. I got Hakeem and KG as my premier defenders with MJ not having to show much of his defensive prowess so much when he has those two and can concentrate more getting his points and covering his own man. Got Larry Bird as the deep shooter threat, basketball IQ on the defensive side with his hustle coming at you in so many ways. And LeBron being the man to keep the egos in check as he will have no problems giving his teammates their chance at scoring all the while still being able to find a way to score 25+ to go along with 11+ assists. Hakeem and KG don't need or care about getting any higher in points than just sniffing around the high teens to edging out 20 points if their are mismatches against teams. And Bird and MJ can be my two main scorers with LeBron trading off with Bird in regards who be the number 2 shooter on the team.

The problem is the Warriors have 0 point guards and 2 shooting guards. Curry does not distribute enough to be a true point guard.

GOAT point guard is tough. I usually go with Magic but Curry, A.I. and John Stockton are also close. Power forward is another tough call. I also have a hard time taking LeBron over Bird at SF. Here's my All-Time starting five as of June 2022; PG - Curry SG - Jordan SF - Bird PF - Tim Duncan C - Shaq "B" Squad PG - Magic SG - Kobe SF - LeBron PF - Karl Malone C - Hakeem Olajuwan

Why everyone actin like Wilt Chamberlain didn't score 100 points in a game and 50.4 points per game for a season, like he didn't single handedly lead the sixers (at the time) to the best record before the 97 Bulls and won championships against all time great Bill Russell and his roster crowded with all of famers, like he didn't bench press more than Shaq, have a bigger wingspan, like he didn't run 100 in 11 seconds and have a 40+ inch vertical, like his aging self didn't give prime Kareem a hard time and block his unblockable skyhook twice in one play, I'm just askin PS : oh and I forgot, he also led the NBA in passing one season because someone said he was too selfish (you can check all that I said I verified my sources)

because it's actualy hard to say how good he would have been in let's say 80ies and 90ies. Though I personaly think he would eat Olajuwon and Shaq for breakfast and would stop Jordan's drives to the basket. But he wouldn't get near as many balls as in the 60ies
@Jaburu4 жыл бұрын
@Vladimir Putin I'm not saying he would have averaged 50
@Jaburu4 жыл бұрын
@Vladimir Putin just take Olajuwon and Shaq. Olajuwon had always an edge because of his agility, Shaq because of his mass/strength. Wilt had both
@Jaburu4 жыл бұрын
Shaq could have been the new Wilt actualy. but as he said in interviews, he didn't need to become tecnicly better
@abdoullahn.11034 жыл бұрын
@Vladimir Putin "full of bums" are you talking about the 60's Celtics for instance who were one of the most feared teams ever (all of which would also be good in the NBA nowadays) with the legendary defender Bill Russel against which he put up similar numbers AND his rebounding record, plus he met the good teams of his time more often because as you said the nba consisted in 14 teams (which is also much more selective even tho the overall practice level is lower). Let's just remember his aging self played against Kareem at a comparable level, who played with magic at a comparable level, who played against Jordan at a comparable level who himself played with Kobe at a more than comparable level who played with today's Superstars, generation go hand in hand man, don't forget it, Chamberlain did have a 40+ inch vertical he was also state champion in track and field high jump category, you've got footages of him touching the top of the backboard (which no one does in today's NBA). So of course the play rythm in these times was very high and centers' roles was very big, so nowadays he wouldn't have such ridiculous numbers, but it wouldn't be surprising to say he'd be a 30-35+ 16-18+ player. And when I said in passing you should've understood assists, which he averaged 8 and some on one season, leading the NBA so no I'm not talking nonsense and yes my sources are verified (go on basketball reference, ESPN or NBA.com)

As Wilt once told mj “They changed the rules to stop me from dominating and they changed the rules SO you could dominate.” Edit: These guys in my replies know a lot about basketball, you should check it out.

Wilt was not allowed to dunk or post up near the hoop down low using his back to the basket backing down guys like 2000 shaq was allowed to do...mj meanwhile kept losing to the pistons until the summer 1990 rule changes about letting offensive players dribble without a hand on them especially in the air near the rim or else its called a foul..mj lived off that stuff which used to be let go a lot more..it made it easy to score at the rim vs bigs who were slow and go at the rim on guards from the perimeter who were strong used to hand checking but not as quick...totally a mismatch now cause he could get bigs in foul trouble or they had to let him score go in fear of a foul plus that opened up passing lanes off over help reactions on d and reb chances for bulls bigss wings...and the quicker guards were smaller so mj would post them up or shoot over them...either way you lose...

@@razkable The Flagrant foul rule wasn't introduced because of Jordan. What rule are you talking about? They also changed rules for Mikan, Mikan>Jordan?
@younglove33623 жыл бұрын
@@87mchale.71 Jordan couldn't beat the Pistons. The league hated the Pistons. The Pistons figured out how to dominate while Magic and Bird were dying out. The league definitely changed the rules to benefit Jordan. Jordan was making the league mad money and giving them media attention. No super star got as much leverage as Jordan, not even Lebron. The league never pushed another player like Jordan because of how the numbers dropped when he retired. So they learned to never push just one player like that again. Jordan had plenty of leverage and is over pushed. Look at the delusional Jordan fanboys now, that should be a primary example right there.
